I just finished a JdN Antano Belicoso. I like the flavor profile, but I am afraid it is just one ligero leaf too strong for me. I tried smoking it slower, but the nicotine overwhelms the flavor and the enjoyment is just not there. I like fresh serranos and jalapenos but not habaneros and scotch bonnets. I guess I am a wuss.

You said it,big boy! Actually, the consensus on these,is that they will get better with extensive nap time. That's what I have mine doing. The Churchill in this line is milder and has a more complex flavor profile. X

True story, el ... let 'em nap a while and the rough edges disappear ... first one I had was OTT and it kicked my butt so bad, MrsS asked why I continued to smoke it if it was doing that to me ... LOL ... I told her because it was too GOOD to toss ...

Subsequent JdNs have NOT had that effect, however ... they're good without having that 20 Mule Team kick to 'em ... age the rest a while and if you still find they just don't make it for you, I know a guy in the SF Bay Area who would be happy to work out a deal with you ..

Agree on the above. These need to rest a spell but I can't help the urge to try at least one every other week. For a change of pace, try the Machito. It's the small corona size and you just get a "little ass whoopin" instead of the freight train effect with the larger sizes. Give the others about 6 months to sleep.

Like everyone said let them rest for 3 months to a year they get better. The longest I go for is 6 months because I end up smoking them all by then.Try the grand robousto.

These things make my head swim. I have never finished one straight through. Gotta take a break in the middle.
