OK... we all know that blume (ploom, plume, etc.) is the oils in the tobacco being forced to the surface of the cigar and crystalizing on the wrapper. We also know that this happens during proper storage and aging.
My question is this: Is the peak flavor of the cigar right before, during or after the blume forms?
Should one brush it off or keep it on when smoking?
I've smoked cigars for twelve years, and have never thought about it...
Anyone?
