Here is a review of them:

Belinda is a rich, heavy-bodied, handmade Cuban-style cigar in keeping with it's proud lineage. Silky Sumatra wrappers, grown under the perpetually overcast sky of Ecuador, are combined with mature, long filler, Havana Seed tobaccos from the famed La Meca farm on the Rio Jagua in Spanish Honduras to re-create the characteristic taste of the fine Havanas of pre-Castro Cuba.

If you are looking to buy them, try a Google search...

Belinda is one of the old Cuban brands...and may still be made in Cuba today. I'm not sure.

What an incredible coincidence ...

I too was gifted with one of these a while back and I smoked it on Mon evening ... a very good smoke, it was a 6x50 but I only know that from having found them in a Google search ... what surprised me most was the price on these puppies ... it's pretty rare that I like a new cigar as much as I did that one and learn that it's a bargain to buy ...

Not entirely sure how long the one I smoked had been aging ... I've had it for months and can't even remember where I got it ... who knows how long it'd been aging before it was given to me? ... so, it may be that right OTT, these leave a little to be desired and aging is a critical factor ... we'll see.

BTW ... although I found several sources, all of them are backordered on the 6x50 size ...

I did a 'Google' Search, and came up with all kinds of info on the Belinda ...

The Belinda is a classic Cuban brand forgotten by Havana, but was made by the master expatriate Cuban cigar maker, Estelo Padron, in Honduras.

This is a well-aged smoke with a rich, nutty flavor of medium body. Not only tasty, but also an exceptional value.

One site said that they are not longer being made ... and when supplies run out, they will be gone forever.

My favorite local shop just got these in (the ammo can of 100). I had been itchin' to try these, and they were quite cheap. I'm not sure if it was the natural or the maduro (kinda like Padrons' regular line). It was very good, but came across very flat. I attribute this to having just finished my first Hemmingway though, and there was no contest. I really knew better, but the curiosity just got the better of me. I would consider a box (or ammo can) of these. I have higher hopes for the Belinda Black though.

And I haven't heard anything about them being discontinued. That would be crummy.

The Belinda "Black" is a great smoke. I am on my 2nd box. This is the normal Belinda fill with the wraper that is used on the Partagas "Black"

Both the Partagas and Belinda use a Medio Tiempo (sp?) wrapper. Whether they are from the same source is unclear. Everthing I have heard is that they are very similar, if not in fact the same.

SteveS

I sent you the Belinda Black when I sent you those Xquisitos to try out. At the time I sent it I had only had them a little over a month.
