This is easy, I am a major big fan of Frank Sinatra, but when the chairman of he board tried to cover rock and roll and music like that...........fuhgedabutit!

"Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" has to be Blue Eyes worst song ever......and the worst cover song by a major artist.

Not sure if the site is working correctly right now though.

#2 LOL. My first thought when I saw the thread subject. BTW, Nimoy's singing of the Ballad of Frodo Baggins may be a cover or may not be, but it's awful, too. I think anyone from the original Star Trek series should be banned from singing and recording just to make sure we don't have any more such nastiness. Some day when I get that time machine, I'm going to try to get that law passed.

You're right, Nemoy was pretty bad too.

But Nimoy didn't take himelf seriously as a recording artist. He knows he sucked, hell, he couldn't keep a straight face when it being recorded for some TV show (Smothers Brothers I think it was).

Shatner actually took himself seriously as a "singing" artist. Then again, he also took himself seriously as an actor for 45 years before he realized he sucked and had a wooden leg, but that's why we loved him.

Sweet Jane was a major Lou Reed song......any cover of that would be bad.

Speaking of Pat Boone, all of his "white bread" civers of Ray Charles and other great black artists were deplorable.......

Pat Boone in Rock and Roll hall of fame, if so, it is a shame and an insult to Rock music.

William Shatner:

Rocketman,
Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds,
Mr. Tamborine Man.

Even The Shat's coolness cannot carry these songs.

Devo doing Satisfaction leaves a lot to be desired.....

I still cannot believe I am the only one who has blasted Rod Stewart for his butchering of some of the great songs of all time in his "Great American Songbook"...it really sucks.

Rod Stewart doing "Goodmorning Little Schoolgirl" is also laughable...an old Muddy Waters song.

Keith Richards has said it's his favorite cover of one of their songs because its altered from its original that he almost doesn't recognize the royalty check.
