So I had a tough day, but thanks to the magic of Vicodin, managed to doze off in the recliner with the TV going. Woke up during Craig Ferguson's show. The guy cracks me up...funnier than Kimmel, Letterman, et. al. and I had a few chores to do, so I keep the show on. Turns out he had Raquel Welch booked.

I'm thinking OK, she's definitely had work done, but at least what they can show on network TV, it's subtle. Not freakish like Farrah's work, but good. Either that or she's sold her soul to the devil. I remember watching movies with her in it waaaaaay back, but I'm thinking "damn, she still looks way hittable". Then I get to the IMDb. Urp. She's 68? WTF? She's only 5 years younger than my mom? OK, she's definitely sold her soul to the devil (who, coincidentally, may in fact be my mom).

Raquel Welch looks way too good for 68. She can't be 68. I'd knock down Goathead to hit Raquel Welch.

I'm sure Raquel can afford to have a few enhancements but apparently she's one of those lucky folks who just doesn't age normally. My guess is that even off camera and up close, she looks great. Would love to find out.

At the risk of having pacman hate me and my work even more than he already does...

Was fortunate enough to have had lunch with Raquel at the Polo Lounge a couple of months ago to discuss a potential project. That place doesn't blink an eye for celebs, A-listers, anyone.

She walked in and the lunchtime crowd BUZZED.

She looked as good up close as you'd hope -- and she was a class act. She had a very funny, self-deprecating wit... and the Santa Monica Farmer's Market salad, as I recall.
