Beer for the most part.

Good Small batch bourbon, like Knob Creek.
Single malt scotch
Beer.

I do like a heavy dry red wine when I eat steak.

Wes,

Yes, I've tried the Budweiser Cheladas. I posted a thread here on them when they first came out and then went and did a taste test on both the Regular and the Light and posted it in that thread.

Awful. Just plain awful.

I normally prefer un-adulterated beer (ok, ok, I do put a squeeze of lemon in my Hefewetzen) but I'll drink Camato and beer anywhere, anytime if it's offered, I have nothing against it; but this Buttwiper **** was just awful.

To make matters worse, it doesn't even use "real Clamato", they remove one or two ingredients from the Clamato, or strain the oil out of the clamato - I think that's it. The oil from the clam juice is strained out.

If you like it, that's cool. I'll just never drink it again, and for the cost of $2.50 for a 24oz can of Budweiser, I'll just buy clamato and cheap beer seprately and pour them together if I'm going to do that.

Take my handle and google it. That's my favorite beer.

I don't drink other alcoholic beverages.

Second favorite drink is Ice Tea. Not sweet tea, ICE TEA.
Coffee comes in a close 3rd.

Pat,

You only drink "Pliny the Elder" brand beer? Or the only alchoholic drink that you partake of is beer?

TG,
I hear what you are saying. I too, like good beer. I always have a keg of locally brewed hefewiesen on tap here at the house and I love sampling new and different microbrews.

Normally I don't/wouldn't look twice at a Bud, but for some reason I really do enjoy the Chelada.

I've probably discussed this a million times here, but as an alcoholic, I feel the need to share some of my expertise/experience regarding mixed drinks.......

ONE thing you NEED to know........

Sugar is bad.

Sweet drinks are the ones that make you sick the next day.

One can drink excessively and not feel bad the next day if they stick with drinks that contain very little sugar......

Always use sugar free (diet) mixers.

Avoid fruit juice if you can help it.

Sweet wine = barf fest

The only exception to this rule is the Green Isaac Special.......which has sugar from the coconut water.......but is OK because it is the ultimate cocktail.

LOL.

Back when I was still sailing with MSC, you always knew everyone aboard the ship was out of booze when there would be a run on the gold locker for NyQuil and Listerine.

NyQuil shooters with Listerine chasers.

Also like fine Tennesse sour mash, Jack Daniels!

Watching a movie: Sake
Having a cigar: Bourbon on the rocks
Hanging out with friends: Old fashioned or beer
Every waking moment of the day: Cold water with a single slice of lemon

Hydrate or Die-drate, friends.

Favorite is tough. Guess I'd have to say coffee as that is a six or seven day a week drink. Damn, that is boring.

Squirt soda (grapefruit flavored soda). It's hard to find out here in MA but a local/regional soda company, Polar, makes a nice copy of it with their Pink Dry Grapefruit. The also have a dry orange flavor which is nice too.

The soda contains 10% real fruit juice (according to the label) so it prolly qualifies as a healthy source of vitamins and minerals and stuff.

Water most of the time . With a smoke sprite zero and Captain Morgan rum. Then again I love all rums and have a shelfing system full of them. Everyday drink is the Captain but I like to have one good drink of a different rum one the weekends.
