Not the temperature. It will be 80 degrees today. But I am on the 4th day of my first cold of the year. No cigar for the last 3 days. Anybody just go ahead and smoke them anyway even if you can't taste them very well and they make you go into coughing fits?

yeah, sometimes ... LOL ... good chance to use up the stuff that somehow accumulates and gets passed over when you're looking for that 'just right' evening smoke

Cold-eze is a fantastic product for knocking out a cold (along with drinking lots of water). It's best used when you first start feeling the symptoms, but it can reduce the severity if you already have it. I took Cold-eze the last two times I felt a cold coming on and it knocked them both right out.

Yep, Cold-eze. Works every time. Nothing like a jolt of zinc to kick a cold's rear-end.

I agree. The singer of my band swears by cold-eze. It has saved us from cancelling a number of shows.

I don't smoke if I'm sick, it seems to only prolong the cold...

I hope you feel better...I know you do! LOL!
Yeah, I've tried Cold-Eze, Echinacea (sp?), Wellnes Formula supplements...but, I think time and rest are the only things that'll do.
No ceegars baby...

Antihistamines always mess with the flavor of my cigars, but I wouldn't know that if I didn't keep smoking, lol.
Now I've got to get some Lysol for my monitor.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I do try to drink a lot of liquids and take plenty of vitamins plus Omega 3 fish oil caps. It has been a pretty mild cold, compared to some I have had.
I think I know how I caught it. X sent me some contaminated cigars.

no little piss ant virus will stop me. i smoked my first cigar in three days when i was able to get out of bid and walk down the hall. i was strapped down for three days following an angioplasty to allow the artery to heal.
they wouldn't let me smoke in surgery, those bastards.

Get well soon, a cold puts me on the sidelines for at least 2 weeks!
