If Clinton was so "popular" why is it that those closest to him, including his VP, have abandoned him? Prior to Gore's confrontation, the two hadn't spoken for about a year.

Let me make this perfectly clear-I am not a fan of either Bubba or Gore!
Would you talk to Gore or want to have anything to do with him? Dont think so!

poor gore. i think he is still trying to get his father's approval. he pontificates when he says "hi".
his idea of casual dress, is loosening his tie. his underwear and pajamas are probably startched. he is out of the political scene and is probably happier for it. maybe he can bring the 1.2 per month up (pardon the pun) to 2.4. that's double.

on the other hand, if you were young, single, and barhopping for action, wouldn't you want to go with clinton?

I don't agree with Bubba's politics(I am a Republican)however, Bubba would be a fun guy to play golf with or drink a few beers with and I am sure to chase gals with. Gore on the other hand, would be like a cigar store Indian(PI)as you would probably have to carry him around and wipe the sweat off of his brow every 5 minutes or so! What a goon!
