To go along with the other thread on reality TV. Did anybody catch this the other night? It's on VH1, I only saw the last 45 minutes or so but it was pretty funny if you like ole Ted. It's basically a bunch of young people vying for $50,000 in prizes and a new Dodge Truck. No rules per say,you just have to survive a week or so living with Ted Nugent on his ranch. I'm going to try to catch it again,I believe there are showtimes listed on the website.

http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/surviving_nugent/series.jhtml

He’s had the “Cat Scratch Fever,” cured it with a little “Wango Tango,” then retreated to his own personal frontier haven deep in the Michigan woods. He lives off the land and hunts its big game to nourish his own family. Now, seven unsuspecting souls have accepted an invitation to enter and survive his all-terrain universe for cash and prizes.

Surviving Nugent is a two-hour reality-based event that challenges not only the intestinal fortitude of the seven contestants, but also the image of the outspoken rock legend that many people believe is the real Nugent. The magic seven include a vegan, a gay man, a New Yorker who’s not afraid to do a little kissing up, a saucy sex kitten who’s not ashamed to use all her assets to get ahead, and a Michigan native who is sure smelling sweet will bring him success.

Fifty thousand dollars and tempting prizes lay at the end of the rainbow, but before they reach that pot of gold they must get past the “Motor City Madman.” If the seven contestants pass his muster, they stay and move onto the next challenge. If they don’t, the arrow head snaps and they are sent packing.

There are no rules in Ted’s game. No rhyme or reason to his madness. Each contestant must simply survive Ted Nugent.

The contestants are:
Tila – A model

Darren – A DJ

Jack – A talent manager

Sarah – A campaign coordinator

Kara – A Jersey Girl

Joe – A student

Adam - A student

Now there's a show that I pay to be on!

I've had the opportunity to meet Uncle Tedly a handful of times and what you see is what you get. He calls it the way he sees it and you're not going to change his mind, because before he talks he actually thinks things through. Pretty amazing stuff for a headbanging, six-stringing motor city wildman!

He used to be a guest dj on 101 WRIF in Detroit during hunting season and he excelled in that. He wanted a larger role so he went out and bought a radio station! The Bear! When it was on the air it was awesome. 4 hours of Ted's take on anything with callers, and then afterward music that would do you right. I'm talking the good stuff!

His place is outside Jackson Michigan, anyone that knows hunting knows that this is THE place in lower Michigan to bag a HUGE deer. He runs camps for kids and all kinds of charities. The guy is phenonomal to opening his heart and his wallet.

I didn't know he had anything going on TV...thanks for posting this...I'll be sure to watch this!

Hog, he hunts all over the globe!

Ever see the video of him shooting his bow and bagging a mountain goat from 300 yards...uphill!!!

If I hadn't seen it...I wouldn't believe it either! He was selling some of his exploits that his fine wife Shemane had captured on film, and that was one of them. He used to appear at indoor shoots all the time.

Dear American BloodBrothers of the US Military, On behalf of workin hard playin hard all American families across the fruited plaines of the greatest nation in the history of the world, Tribe Nuge salutes all the brave warriors of America's military. -- cont. --
I have always admired the brave men & women of The US Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force & Coast Guard, but now more than ever, people are beginning to wake up to the the dynamic depth of your committment to honor, justice, freedom & the American Dream. There would be no American Dream if it were not for the sacrifices & heart & soul committment you all make in our name for our quality of life. We bow in respect to your dedication & courage. I take the truth to the world everyday that it is you, the warriors on the frontlines of conflict throughout history, that have saved innocent lives and made the world a better, safer place. Your higher level of awareness through diligent training to destroy evil wherever it may raise its ugly head, is deeply appreciated by those of us who live a good life in the shadow of your blood & guts. I drive myself to do radio & TV interviews everday of the year so that the war protestors & peacenix get a shot of reality. We are all aware that if not for you, these protestors would not have the freedom to protest, and for that, we salute you again. Believe me when I tell you, that the vast majority of good families in America stand heart to heart with you on your mission of good over evil, and we pray for your safety and swift return home to the land of the free & the home of the brave as soon as your life and death hard work is finished. May God be with you and may the devil be crushed underfoot as you march for peace on the skulls of our enemies, for goodwill, security and a quality of life that comes only with democracy, freewill and a thank you to God for these precious gifts. Godbless & Godspeed the warriors, your American BloodBrother, Ted Nugent & family.

I guess a lot of people have had close encounters with Ted Nugent. I met him at an archery shop in San Jose where we would do target shoots. We looked back in the shop area and there he was watching us and the youngsters we were teaching to shoot.

He came out and shook some hands. Told us he was game hunting on a private ranch in the Livermore hills and stopped in to re-fletch some arrows that got crushed on his flight over.

He had a zebra-striped Bronco out in the parking lot with a killer sound system.

Nice guy...said it was great to see kids out learning to shoot.
