Never had this brand, but I can't understand why they choose to advertise with the picture that CI shows in their catalog. I've seen it in other catalogs as well. The picture is of a burning cigar, which is not typical, but the problem is that the burn is not even! That thing is two puffs away from becoming a two-man canoe. Call me picky, but I like even-burning cigars.

I've tried one maduro that I picked up in a box pass and loved it. No burn problems.

Had a box of the torpedo maduros last year and they all had severe tunneling problems even after aging for 7 months. Couldn't keeep the damn things lit either. They were advertised as being a medium bodied smoke but I found them to be muy fuerte. They also had a sweet taste imbued in the wrapper. Strange.

That's hysterically funny!...EVERY time I get the new catalog and see that pic in there, I say the same thing...Someone needs to flame the other side and even that sucker out...LOL

Agree on the burn thing! Santa Rosa Maduro's are a very good cigar(not great)and I did not have any burn problem's with the SR's I have smoked. Of course, only about 4 or 5 of them!
