Yeah, those damn Japanese. How dare they not do what we say! How dare they listen to the will of their people, who oppose this war! Gasp! It's almost like they're practicing DEMOCRACY and AUTONOMY as a nation! Never! Do what we say! NOW!

Face it. There was never support for this war across the globe, and what little there was is fading fast. What was that Elvis album title? Fifty million Elvis fans can't be wrong? Maybe the prez should get a clue and admit that this was a terrible decision.

I was never too excited about Elvis and think there's every chance those 50 million fans COULD, in fact, be wrong ...

but, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say ... and just as those fans don't see my point of view, I don't see theirs ...

John...its about committment....they made it and when it has come time to live up to that committment...they "postponed" because it was to dangerous....they capitulated to the terrorists....Unlike the Italians who suffered the worst lost...re-committed the determination to sstay and live up to their committment...thanks to the Italians for thier support ....Japanese send the encourgement to the thugs telling them if you make it dangerous ...we wont come...real BACKBONE...we will see where the real leadership against this war on terror lies...Iraq is not a war in oand of itself ...it is but a battle theatre in the real war...to include saving your academic freedom aswellas other freedom..phenix

I agree,
If Japan promised the support, they should give it. But I see why we are having trouble getting help from the UN. Think about it. We, as a nation, went against the UN in invading Iraq. Why do we think it is hard to get help, from the UN. I saw this coming, before the invasion began. What makes us think, that we should get help, from the same countries we ignored, before the invasion?????? That line of thinking, is not rational. That said though. We should be able to count on the help, of the nations who pledged it.

do I have to locate the web site I posted awhile back on who was Backing the United States on the Going into Iraq??? not only was Japan submitting Monitary releife they also proposed troops... the UN has had Strong Backing from the US for many a years and their decission to not vote yes on Ousting Saddam was because under the Table Deals they all had with the Dictator... showing the World that they are not worthy of what THEY are suppose to uphold and stand for...this is almost a waisted post and also a waisted Thread... other then the fact Japan did offer the troops support IMO they/We need to dump the UN and go strickly NATO...the UN would fold because they get almost all their Finacial Support from the American Taxpayers!!!!! NATO Alliances are much Stronger in terms of Power by the Paperwork laid out to function...
All in All.. it comes down to the Strength of the United States Military Men and Women!!!!!!!
with that all said.. 1 more thing F&ck the UN!!!!!
