The Salazar of course!!!! Everyone knows that the Salazar is simply one of the best cigars available on the market today.

Are you kidding??? You have got to be insane (or be a complete novice) not to choose the Salazar. The Diplomate is the perfect size (IMHO), but nearly impossible to find. Enrique Salazar is the 'Master' of all cigar makers. I just wish he would produce more ... but then, if he did, they wouldn't be as 'regal' as they are. Carlitos ... eat your heart out!

I have a box of Opus xXx that I would trade for a 5-pack of the Salazar. I just can't find them in Iowa. Please LMK.

Did you say Salazar, Oh my god. This is truly a no brainer. I would trade both an OpusX and a VSG for a chance at a Salazar Diplomate.

I'm with you Rick, I don't think I've missed a cigar review in C.A. or Smoke mag for at least 4 years yet I cannot remember Salazar. Are they available on the East Coast?

Definitely the SD Double Maduro...The VSG is a close second...I have a box (minus two) of twenty five left...Those are my special occasion cigars...Man...I didn't think THIS many people knew about them....They're hard to get as it is..NOW they're gonna be impossible to get. Can't beat the price either...I think I paid about $40 for the box last year...A nice cocoa taste which develops halfway into a solid dark chocolate(?) flavor, very nutty, with a beautiful, extremely oily wrapper..Very hard to describe...Mine have a beautiful layer of bloom on all sides because I rotate them every two weeks individually...Definitely worth the effort..Just an incredible smoke!

This was on the front of my box, along with on a small sheet of paper inside: Enrique Salazar fled with his family from his homeland of Matanzas, Cuba to the Dominican Republic in the early 1940's when he was only nineteen years old. In their arms, they courageously carried three burlap sacks containing the cuban seeds of Enrique's history and future. Enrique found work at a small vega near the Cibao River Valley and worked tirelessly to hone his craft, first learning the growing process and then perfecting the art of rolling the tobacco properly. Enrique Salazar's cigars reflect the devotion of the island's people to creat fine cigars anywhere, and they possess the quality to stand on their own no matter where they are from. (On Box): Salazar Cigars are made from 100% Cuban Seed tobacco, properly fermented and rolled in the Cuban tradition with Cuban hands. Made in the Dominican Republic

Down to my last three Salazars. I had a buddy in FLA that could get me all I wanted, and for only ~$60/box! I called him last week, and his source is all out. AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
I can't talk about this any more. Too painful.

I've searched all my sources ... and they are always out. I wish he would produce more (or they weren't so popular). But if they did, I think the quality would suffer ...
