I suppose it is natural for a member of the vast right wing conspiracy such as myself to love all manner of conspiracy theories, esoteric knowlege, and cyyptography. Dan Brown's page turner has pulled me into his strange world. Although a work of fiction, he swears that the essential elements of the tale, the Priory of Sion, the symbolism Da Vinci painted in The Last Supper, The Mona Lisa, and other works, and much more, is all true. Fascinating stuff you do not have to swallow whole to thoroughly be entertained by. Heretical? I'd write more, but I must get back to the book. It has kept me up very late on a couple of days that were already too long. Highly recommended.

I loved this book too. It's fiction but it weaves in real life information that you can learn from too. Some of the stuff in the book is really fascinating. The stuff where they talk about this number phi (golden ratio - 1.618) and how this number appears throughout nature (sea shell spirals, ratio of male to female honey bees, distance of tiger stripes, ratio of length of human arm to elbow, etc..) I was really blown away when I looked this up. Kind of like God's signature. Some pretty cool trivia weaved into a really entertaining story. Reccommended.

I've heard good things about this novel.

Now I hear even more good things.

I need to get started on a new book. Just finished Heinlein's "Starship Troopers" (very different from the movie), which I'd recommend to any military man or those interested in wars and how their fought. Goes in depth to describe any army of the future and how it trains, organizes, and teaches its men to fight.

I have to agree... He is my favorite author. I have liked every book of his I've read. And I've read them all. I thought the movie of Srarship Troopers was a very good kind of a remix of the book. Now Battlefield Earth was a crying shame of a movie. The book blows it out of the water. If you havn't read the book I HIGHLY reccomend it. Sorry about the thread jack...
