You have to be kidding what people are paying for this cigar...I know, dead horse. Maybe I am missing something here. Aberdeen help me understand the insanity!

It is insanity! Aristof, Tony Bahia, Henry Clay to name a few are all better and you can generally get them for less than the vastly overrated CAO Odyssey!
I feel the same way(this will get responses)about Lars Teten rope.

I think the CAO Odyssey has been a great addition to the CAO line. It is a very good cigar, and for $12 to $13 fairly price compared to other high $$ smokes. Taste is purely subjective, I know; but I do enjoy the Odyssey.

I agree...taste is subjective. However, I love the CAO Extreme and Cameroon, but was sadly disappointed with the Odyssey. Particulary for the price! I'll stick the Anniversaire line and leave the Odyssey for the true fans.

You don't think $12 or more is a high $$ smoke. Please send my a bundle of your dailies. For $4 per stick the cigar should be exceptional. For $10 or more that smoke should Knock my socks off. I don't know maybe I'm just a big cheapo. Example: Mayorga Robustos $2 to $3 bucks per stick rated a 90. Great cigar Exceptional value. IMHO

In the middle of bidding for the current lot. Look forward to trying it at least once. On the bright side, my local tobacconist is selling them for $23.00(!) per pop so I hope to get a small savings.

Here’s a thread that died in 2001. I’ve heard discussion about which brands are generally reliable and which ones to avoid. What do you guys think about CAO as a brand?

There's a few that I like and love, you'll be getting one soon. The Brazilia Box Press is one of my favorites and imo very different then the rest of them. I also like the Steelhorse line and a couple of the Flatheads. After that, most are meh. But cigars likes are highly subjective, I may hate something that other swear by.

JGRAZ, thanks. I also like the Flathead, I tried the V660 recently and enjoyed it. Looking forward to the mail!

Brazilia is the champagne of cigars, don't let anyone tell you anything different.
