If you send orders to someone, make sure you have a tracking number or confirmation number and that you require a signature for delivery.
I had a chargeback today that the credit card company chargedback, even though I had a tracking number and delivery confirmation.
I lost $600 on this deal, plus a bunch of fees, but UPS is investigating where the package went, so may end up recouping a little of it. Paypal is still appealing with the credit card company, so it may not be a total loss yet.

Anyway, remember to require a signature, tracking or delivery confirmation and sell only to confirmed addresses.
Hope this helps save someone the headaches I am going through.

It seems you are the opposite of your name... You have the patience of a rock. I'd be hunting somebody down with a lead pipe in one hand and a blow torch in the other...

I have sold things using Paypal and never had a problem.

My brother sold some Topps e-cards and after receiving payment released the cards to the buyer. A week later Paypal took back the money for the transaction. When he asked why they said that the buyer reported that he never received the items. They never checked with the seller. It was only $40 but he has never recouped the money.

Chargebacks are normal with any type of CC transaction. Most CC companies (the customer's) will ask that they handle the situation directly with the vendor, if that doesn't work, then they will do a chargeback. Basically, they suspend the money until the situation is resolved. Usually the vendor receives a notification of the chargeback and has time to dispute the claims by providing the documentation needed. It's a level of protection for the consumer that most CC companies have built in. That's why it's really important to use a CC for all car repairs... they either fix the problem right, or risk losing the money... keeps everyone honest.

I'll bet they were still fine though. Those are some well made boxes. And it was inside a cardboard box with packing. Still though, I'd be pissed!!

Man, that is a bummer! Good advice for the rest of us though.
