Hallmark of a fine cigar

Aside from the other criterior that qualify as the hallmark of a great cigar, my personal taste on this is that the cigar has a savory taste from the start right down to a nub! Sadly, not that many have this quality and the ones that do are usually damn expensive. IMHO of course. Any other "humble" opinions?

My tastes have changed over time, as I'm sure yours has too. I used to go mainly for flavor, and although that is still important I have found that I MUCH prefer cigars that are rolled very well. Firm, yet not tight. I can no longer stand for loosely rolled cigars, regardless of taste! go figure.

it is so good that a greeting's card is made to announce it. Otherwise you want a cigar you can smoke to the nub, you smoke a Diamond Crown.

Aberdeen, I fully concur with your remark about Diamond Crown, my personal favorite. I smoke those babies to a nub!

Whenever I smoke a Puros Indios Toro Especial I wonder out loud why anyone else even tries to make cigars....
