Well all,
had to take the truck in... seems last weekend after duck hunting in the south.. I was attempting to pull up out of a low marsh area.. put it in 4H to do so and the SOB started grinding to beat hell... since we've owned this 2002 ford FX4 it has been back in the shop twice before for transfer case problems... well with the extended warranty and all the BS extras... I get off the phone with the service manager after telling him this can be straightened out face to face so I'll be out with the truck after work that evening... 2 days ago.. when I arrived he had seemed to find all the background information on the truck and service and Yep I was right.. so they took it.. also going to do other service to it while checking out the 4 wd problems... calls me tody and says yep bad motor in the transfer drive case.. replaced.. also needs front brakes.. I said add them.. rotors turned (do it)
calls back this after noon says it's ready for pick-up... wife went out to drop off the loaner and pick up our truck... 500 crackers later and a charge on the loaner for an extra day??? I said BS.. first of all he told me if there was nothing wrong with the 4 wd then we would have to cover the loaner.. thus since there was a problem then we shouldn't have to cover squat... Well you opted for equal or better to your truck.. thus we furnished you with a 2004 truck loaner and you have to pick up the difference in cost.. I said OK OK so whats with 3 days rental when we only had this 2 days?? they said well under the bumper to bumper warrenty.. they go by calander days.. I said BS.. No Frickin Way... Nope that was correct and we got it late the other night and had it a full day yesterday and then part of tonight which would be 3 calander days... I said is that right? Yes.. Ok so actually then the loaner is paid for until 11:59 pm 7 Jan 2004 the correct?? well yea.. I said alrighty then We, will be back out there to pick up our loaner until 11:59 pm then you can't be serious.. I said Honey I'm as serious as a heart attack.. I'll be damned if I pay for something I'm going to get my money's worth out of it.. sure hope you still have that truck on the lot when I get there.. We'll be out there in an hour or so.. So guess whats sitting in our Driveway til 11:59 pm???
