Which was the worst coaching decision of the weekend?

_____Mike Martz settling for a FG in regulation

_____Mike Sherman not going for fourth-and-1

_____Dick Vermeil not attempting onside kick

_____They were all good decisions

Mike Martz...by far. He was the only one that made his own fans booooo loud. The other two were just panicky decisions...Martz had time.

Martz gets my vote too ... letting almost 40 seconds run off the clock after the Rams had moved the ball to the Carolina 15 is completely baffling ... and the explanations Martz offered after the game were lame in the extreme.

Martz.

Vermeil is 2nd. If your defense just plain sucks why kick the ball away?

i believe i have mentioned this at least twice, but dumb is worth repeating. martz, with all his cutsy plays, was a great coach because he had warner and faulk. bulger could have earned is spurs by winning the game, but martz cut his heart out by not trusting him.

when the chips were down, martz folded his cards and snuck away. either he or warner will be gone next year.

sherman follows a very close second.

it's a shame for the fans and the players that their coach can cost them the season.

Martz

Although the decision to let the Chiefs even play with that defense is suspect as well.

HA!

Jeff Fischer.
He and his Titans showed up in Foxboro.

I think Dungy is just as dumb and may arrive this Sunday, but don't bet on it...

Pablo, with such a short answer it should be at least half way easy to understand! What the hell was that all about. Total party faul or whatever?

Green Bay SHOULD have gone for it ... their ground game was working and they probably could've won that game if they'd stuck with what was working for them ... that's why I said that for me, deciding which was the worst decision was a close one ...

Whatever defensive call the Packers coaches made that allowed a 26 yard gain on 4th down.

Sherman's call was worst because it was the Packers game to lose. They were up and could of won. The Rams on the other hand made a good effort to comeback, and to tie was sort of a small victory. Yet, Matrz should of gone for the win, but it was a uphill battle when they got down by that much. The Packers had the lead, had the momentum, and lost the game, that was worst.

The general rule of thumb is to go for the tie at home. Assumption being the crowd can carry you in OT.

The visiting team must ALWAYS go for the win.

I hate Martz, but the momentum was on their side. There was no way to suppose they would not be able to win in OT.
