Overpaying?

I am new to this site but certainly not new to cigars. I have noticed alot of pissing and moaning about people "overpaying" for items purchased here. There are probably a great number of reasons for paying more than retail. Here are a few. The obvious one, lack of savvy or knowledge. OK that one's out of the way. I have done some extensive travel around the continental 48 and have seen great disparity in pricing from shop to shop (same goes for internet shopping). So what is considered overpaying in one part of a state or country, could actually be a great deal somewhere else. Availability plays a big factor. The websites with the best prices do not always have everything in stock.(Same for shops) Convenience is a biggie. Sitting on your butt on the couch watching TV while ordering smokes that will be brought to your door with a simple keystroke has to be worth something. Finally, disposable income. If you don't have to bust into gumball machines to buy smokes, then who cares how much you pay for what you enjoy. These are but a few. Translation: I personally comparison shop for my cigars. I usually turn up the best deal. My question is, who are you to judge people for something when you can't possibly know all the facts? Get over your pompous selves and spin something relevant onto these boards. Peace!

hells bells, you sure know how to spoil your introduction to these boards, calling people here pompous and what not, putting your best foot forward does not seem to be an attribute of yours.

And who the hell is he to call us close knit friends pompous........your arrogance and self proclaimed knowledge and worldliness which you are probably a legend in your own mind as well is quite honestly, annoying......go, go, somewhere else and bug the hell out of someone else. Do you always enter a room so loud your first time?

What's the matter? Does the truth hurt? Are you confused by lucid observation? I didn't realize you cyber morons actually visualize a "room". Is it well furnished? What color is it? Trust me I'm just a tourist in your pathetic MTV chat world. I spoke for those you bash. You need not shoo me from your insipid board as I never planned on getting close enough to let any of it stick to me.

This guy carries a dictionary around like I do my best primo's. Love those words but I assure you that using them does not impress those here. Most here are professionals and you should not try to utilize words to impress. Use words like small minded, clouded, etc. I assure you they work just as well. Now go smoke a Backwoods and leave us common folk alone.

Wow, who invited this self-proclaimed, pompus, inflated jerk into our world? Welcome to the cigar board, orlio! Now mellow out a bit and tell us what you really think! In the meantime, I am going to smoke one of my vastly overpriced robustos and a three fingers of single barrel Jack Daniels on the rocks! Charlie

Wow, Oriol. You sure came out of left field with those comments. One day you just pop up and start hurling insults. Didn't you ever hear of saying hello first? This is a good group of people. They are the most generous people I have ever met. I think you blew that intro! Only one person came across as pompous: YOU.

Rick, you at least mean well and we accept your comments and enjoy sparring with you; however, this "person" named Oreo, whoops orlio is certainly one of the most overbearing fools we have had the displeasure to be exposed to! Charlie

Again, I am reminded of the quote "tis better to be silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt". Perhaps you should have known better than to rank on our dear friends. And Sir, we do NOT whine, we converse, which is different than your post leads us to believe. Perhaps next time you might want to read what you wrote before hitting the "enter" key......Brent

We are 'cyber morons'? You ... incipid dolt, seem to obfuscate what is reality, and what it not. Don't eschew the good folks at this, or any other forum, for that matter. We are very real people, and this is just a vessel in which to communicate. You are just a pathetic excuse for a human being ...

Maybe y'all scared lil Oriol away. You know how overbearing y'all can be at times. I'm just surprised to see that he got all your panties in such a twist! I do like how quick you rush in to defend our commoraderie. Oohh, the testosterone! I really wanted to know if he's the dried-out, charcoal cookie or the gritty, lard cream filling? ;')
