Sorry,
Here is the question; Are the 3x smokes really worth the price the current market dictates? I mean I see these things being sold all over the Internet for what I consider obscene amounts of cash. ARE THEY REALLY WORTH IT? I want to try them but I am afraid that its all about “look what I got and you don’t” . Can you help me out before I pop 30 bucks a stick and find out that there are better smokes for less.

Thanks

if you smoke cigars that are in the $5. - $8. bracket, buy one as a treat. see if it is 6 or 7 times better. i suspect not, but give it a shot. if it is, there you are, if not, you are still there

now that these are moving west, the price is coming down to suggested retail of $10 to $15 a stick, at least at reputable tobacconists. A friend saw one in a fine eating diner, that had a walkin humidor for $120! But be patient and you will find it eventually for a decent price.

Worth the money? Depends on how curious you are. If you really want to find out, try it for yourself. My suggestion with this size, let it sit in your humidor for a while, the 2 I had back in early September were kind of green at the time and needed some humidor time. I'm waiting for a reason to smoke the other 2... For the money, smoke an Ashton VSG or better yet, Padron Anniversario, much better cigars in my opinion.

let us not stoop to critiquing typos. we can save our rants or annoyances for what's his name, oriel something, or wait until i go off on caps again with a tirade over something.

Heg,LMAO!! Cool apology!
CB, I am here in Beantown and have smoked many of dem opus's. IMHO I don't find them a value for the price, you should try a couple to see if you like them.
I mean that they are a tasty cigar BUT I personally rather smoke a dozen other primo's including Padron which give me more BANG for the buck as well as burn more consistent then the "x's " I have smoked..

just because i gag at the thought of paying $30.00 for a cigar is no reason to make fun of me i smoke up to 10 cigars a day maybe more just can not justify paying that much for a smoke that will be gone in 2 hours you rich *&%$#@ are welcome to pay what ever you want to i try to keep my cigar bill under the national debt. thank you.

robnsue, Whats wrong with JR's smokes?? I have well over 1500 smokes and they include just about every kind of smoke from no names to pricy primo's to a large variety of ISOM's... I have bought cigars of all sorts from JR and it's like any other distributer where you try different smokes and some are good and some are dogs... I have always have had GREAT service from them , better then any other out there.. As far as dogs , if I tried a cigar from JR and decided to return them even after trying 4-8 over a period of months they have taken them back and given me full credit for the box....JMHO, but expensive cigars don't always equal a great smoke as we have seen over the last 6 years or so...

I believe rob was saying the quote ("difference between a $30 cigar....) was taken from Lou of JR. As for JR....I agree with you and the "Ultimates" are a pretty good smoke. "Alternatives".... well, that's another story...

"retarted" is when you burn your first Pop-Tart in the toaster and have to add another. In context it would sound like...."Oh no! I've burnt my Pop-Tart so now the toaster has to be retarted".
