welcome aboard Liz..an SOTL!! life is beautiful except for the fact that now the humidor will probably be running low in twice the time, eh? (honey..what's our budget for c-bid this year?)

thank you for the welcome!

Clive is going to start a humidor for me! He just bought this huge plastic thingamabob(he calls it a sweaterdor) that he put all of his 'gars in and he told me earlier that I can use the vacant one! I have the cherry little 'gars that he doesn't like that i really enjoy and he has ordered me some Cuban Honey's and some Astral Candellas and he's going to share some of his Gran Habano Churchills that I really enjoy to get me started. He ordered 2 boxes of ten Cuban Honey's and a five pack of the Astral Candellas :-) He is sooooo good to me :-) I think he appreciates the fact that I don't make him go smoke outside LOL I just join him! And live in peace and harmony (no I'm not going to start singing Kumbaya I promise!) hehe

Liz, stop it, you're making us all VERY jealous of Clive....does he know how good he has it???

Welcome and hope you join us for some trades. I know there are several of us (although some won't admit it) who have picked up some flavored, etc. cigars that they wouldn't mind giving up. If you post under the Newbie Sampler thread, you can get hooked up.

Liz is short for Elizabeth - middle name Ann - named after my grandma :-) I want to thank everyone for such a great welcome! And YES he does know how good he's got it - I remind him ALL the time LOL :-P Trust me he doesn't hold out the good stuff on me - he picks out something that he thinks I'll like but isn't too strong - not ready for the strong stuff just yet being a newbie and all! He's checking out his stash now to see what else to introduce me to tonight! I'm getting a Natural by Drew Estate!

Welcome Liz.

Nuttin like a Cigar Smokin Woman!

My G/F is also a SOTL and started with the Honeys, not me the cigar. She pitched the Honeys after she started sampling my smokey treats. Now she prefers HDM Dark Sumatras, Astral TVS and other full bodied goodies. She got into the PSD4's the other day. Now Im REALLY in trouble! Dont be scared, try them all, picth the nasty ones, and if you like um, that means they're good!

So far everything that Clive has chosen for me to smoke I have enjoyed! I'm taking things slowly - climbing the steps one by one till I get to the top :-) Next time Clive goes to a herf I'm going to go with him, I would have gone last time but I wasn't feeling that good and I was in a "mood" LOL so I passed it up -but not next time - next time I'm going! :-) I can hang with the boys any time LOL LOL! I am woman hear me ROAR *giggles*

NAW Beat, I told her to keep the nasty ones to give to your bumming friends who smoke half, and leave most of it in the ashtray (see Sonny_LSU's post under trades!)

Hey Liz this is DBguru from the great Northwest....

Welcome welcome welcome.

You'll enjoy this group, which despite great efforts from a few gals is sorely in need of more female contributions on our threads.

Where do you reside and what are you favorite smokes??

Also how long have you enjoyed cigars?

Again welcome welcome welcome!!

LOL knowing me I'd like the ones others consider nasty - take the little cigars that I think you referred to as "dog rockets" but I enjoy the heck out of LOL. so one person's "dog rockets" is another persons yumm yumms LOL. Now I'm learning the proper way to light one of the big boys!

Hi DB!

Clive and I reside in Norfolk, Virginia!

I have found that I enjoy cherry little cigars, Astral Candellas and Gran Habano Churchills they seem to be some of my early favorites - but I've only been smoking 'gars for about a month so I have many many more flavors to try!

can't wait for the next herf! I've been telling my online family about my cigar smoking and I've told Clive he needs to hook up our web cam so they can see me smoking one so they don't think I've been pulling their leg LOL It's great to be able to get together with others that share your hobbies/passions - whether it is on boards such as this or in reals at a herf! The internet does have good qualities! LOL

liz, welcome aboard, and congrats on your newfound love o' the leaf!

and gran habanos churchies... mmmmmmmmmm! very nice. :)

now have clive there get you some of those honey piramides dealies (have NO idea what the real name is, but they're short little pyramid honey-flavored cigars with a funky band that looks kinda like a crown -- anyone? bueller?!).

clive's a good guy, as i'm sure you already know (duh!) :) and if you kids ever want to road trip a bit south (wilmington, nc) for a campfire herf here, just lemme know when!

Welcome Liz! Hope that computer chair is comfy, cause when the CBid blood starts flowin through your veins.....uh-oh!

Hey CDub(Clive): email me at dgrubworm44 at aoldotcom, with your snailer cause I may have a few cigars Liz would like. I also am a fan of Gran Habanos and spent a lot of time and money collecting Mild smokes, that I now, really don't smoke anymore. I have a handful of Playboy by DDiego, more Gran Habano, Helix natural...etc. that need a new home....yours.

wow! overwhelmed by such an awesome welcome! ty ty ty ty ty ty ok you get the point :-)

me nag? nahhhh never *wink* nagging is a sign of love and caring - honest it is :-)

the chair is comfy, but like any chair if your butt is in it for too long...butt numbness sets in LOL then ya got to get up and walk around for a bit or you won't be able to feel your butt and that's not a good thing. :-( once you start ignoring the butt numbness you know you're addicted and need the internet 12 step program!
btw I've been through that program ummmm let me see...well let's just say several times. :-P am thinking I need to sign Clive up for it hehe

WWE :-) Clive and I are going to one of the Base clubs to watch the Royal Rumble on Sunday whooo hooo! yeah I know WWE is more entertainment than anything else, but there is a good amount of athleticism entertwined with all the storylines, bs, etc - and it amuses me so can't be all that bad hehe. I really can't wait for the grand daddy of them all Wrestlemania, now that is going to kick some major bootie! :-)

Clive was too funny, a few months ago we went to matches at the Norfolk Scope - we got lucky when we went to get tickets and 2 - what was it 2nd or 3rd row tickets had come available and he got those for us weeeeee - and in some of the matches he was yelling more than I was LOL - what is fun is that he likes a couple wrestlers that I don't like and vice versa so it's always fun - would be boring if we agreed on everything - though we do agree on Stone Cold and Mick Foley :-) We have fun watching on tv and when we go to ppvs at the base club and that is all that counts :-)

and btw Clive darling of mine - I sent you email both to the ship email and to aol - waits for reply - which probably won't come till he gets home LOL

Liz, you a Kurt Angle fan? I wrestled amateur for about 12 years. Grew up about 30 min away from Pittsburgh. Kurt went to college at Clarion University. Every summer he'd be teaching at their wrestling camps. Hard worker and good teacher.

yeah Kurt is ok - rather have him as a face than a heel though :-) I prefer the Raw superstars to the Smackdown ones - until Undertaker comes back that is :-)
