ray bradbury writes science fiction. he wrote a book called "fahrenheit 451, the temperature at which books burn." it is a story about the destruction caused by people who burn books for political, religious, or any other reasons. i did not attempt to say anything mean about you, i thought you knew the reference and had chosen it.

and not for a bad reason. where did the idea of the 451 in your handle come from?

Bud451 is from my father. Bud was his nic name and 451 was his badge number when he was a police officer (early 60s). My father passed 2 years ago and I started using this name then. It makes me think of him. Anyway...thanks for the explanation and I did not take it as an insult, I was just courious. BTW, I am not very political and certainly open minded and would NEVER burn a book. Thanks again Rick.

I once burned a cuban book, but I think it was fake. Smelled like a egg fart.

Thanks to bud for the why 451? To be honest I thought it might have some reference to Ray Bradbury! No, I have not burned any books, have read some that probably shouldn't have been published, but never burned one!

Thanks JJ, but might as well explain that it is a secret code for selling submarine seats and spy plane passes.........no, actually it is just a lucky number I have used for passcodes, since my wife's birthday is May 3 and most codes require four numbers........5-3-5-3! That's it! Or lucky numbers 53 times two! Charlie

Submarine seats. That's a classic Charlie! You must be a conservative who actually earned his income last year. How dare you...
