All,

Both my wife and I are doing fine after our surgeries. She actually is able to eat any kind of food a lot quicker than I was, I still struggle with real spicey foods. No more Skyline Chili for me until this summer. She has been back at work now since the end of December is is doing fine with her return. I am going stir crazy with the job search though. There just isn't much out there in the Greater Cincy Area. I do start a part-time job next week and hope to be able to afford to ship out the cigars that I owe for the Original Cigarbid Birthday Club. I know I owe since August or September of last year and I apologize again for the delays. I hope you'll understand that the mortgage and other bills come before cigar obligations.

Anyway, on to the good news. As of this past Saturday, 1/24/04, I have lost a total of 157 pounds and my wife has lost a total of 53 pounds since November 11th, 2003. This is a GREAT feeling, to be active once again. I no longer have any aching bones in my body, both of my knees are fine, and I walk without a lumber. The bad thing is that I am going thru clothes faster than you can shake a stick at. With me being unemployed I have been able to wear my big clothes longer than usual, but now with the part time job starting next week I will be spending the first pay check or two on clothes to wear to work. The worst thing is that I will be losing another 75 pounds or so and will need more clothes after that. At least I will be a lot thinner and at a size where I will not be discriminated against when I interview for a job due to my large size.

It has been a while since I've been on here to check things out so I just wanted to give everyone an update and thank ya'll for your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks again!
Matt

Congrats on the weightloss. Not an easy thing to do, and it sounds like you two are strong people.

All the best,

We have never conversed directly, but I've been here since this began. All I can say is you have my admiration. Stick with it. I look forward to soon reading about your new career, new physical presence, and great future.

Matt, Thanks for the update. We have been missing you, on the forums. Good luck with the Job search. I too am underemployed, working part time in the Pub, I worked in during college, and repairing a computer from time to time. Great to hear you and your wife are both doing well, and losing weight. Hope the new part time goes well.

Matt,

Great to hear from you. Its funny but just last week I was wondering how you and the wife have been doing.

The weight loss is just fantastic, I don't think that news could be any better.

Keep your chin up on the job search. I know it's really bad out there, but I'm sure things will turn around for you shortly.

Best of Luck!

Rocco
