here's what this dem thinks: some media is biased towards the left; some media is biased towards the right. most media goes for whatever will get the ratings (equal opportunity slammers). some media is actually fair and not biased -- they tend to not make a lot of money.

consequently, the site you posted is a CONSERVATIVE organization-- of COURSE they want to make the "liberal media" look bad! lol

their motto: "The Leader in Documenting, Exposing and
Neutralizing Liberal Media Bias"

i'm quite sure i could dig up some group dedicated to "documenting, exposing and neutralizing the CONSERVATIVE media bias" as well.

always, consider the source, folks.

but you've got FOX news for a starter, not to mention the spin-offs from there. :)

but what i was referring to are grass roots "on the web only" kind of "news groups," CWF. such a "news group" of conservatives only publish the conservative side and bash liberals; such a "news group" of liberals only publish the liberal side and bash conservatives.

i don't want ANYONE'S biased side of the story. if i have to go overseas to get something unbiased, i will.

The SAD part of this is that the TRUTH and HONESTY does NOT sell papers and does NOT bring people to their TV stations.. The more they can twist tell half truths and keep every one fighting amonst them self's the more money they make. The media works on ONE thing any more and that is the Majority of people are to lasy or too uneducated to look into things for them selves. Most people find it easier to take the media's word about some thing and as long as that is done they (The Media) will always win no matter what the object or game is... People have to stop fighting and believing every thing they read and or hear with out checking it out for themselves..I was always brought up that the ONLY thing that Matters is RIGHT and as long as you belive in that then it doesn't matter what you are called Rep. or Dem. or Lib. Right, fairness and honesty is what is suppose to be the most important..So if you give an inch for one person then in all fairness you must also give another person that same inch or if you whish you may call it benfit of doubt..What is Fair, Honest, and Reliable.?? NOT THE MEDIA I think. LMAO.. Just The Humble Opion Of a Old Guy..TinMan

It would be wonderful to believe that people don't have agendas... That it was all purely financially motivated. But that's BS. Look at CNN under "Ted and Jane". There's a fair and balanced couple for you. A socialist and a communist! Come on! Look at how CNN has moderated their position since Fox "TOOK OFF!" Why did fox do so well? Because people (like me) were sick and f'ing tired of listening to the non-stop stream of liberal CRAP from ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, PBS, MSNBC, etc... And for folks to ignore the fact that they do have an agenda, I'm sorry, it's Pollyannaish. There are very real prejudices, they are clearly illustrated nightly on the national news, flip it on, watch it with an open mind from both sides…

robby: unless it's local news, i don't "ingest" the nightly news. i may watch it if the wife has it on as background noise while she's cooking, but if anything catches my attention, i'll get online and do a pretty exhaustive search to find out what other news sites are saying. i'll look at the bbc, indy news sites, etc., and then assume that the truth's probably somewhere in the middle.

one thing i love about my local paper is that people around this area are VERY outspoken. any story remotely controversial is met with a slew of letters to the editor, posts on the online forum, etc. it's refreshing to live among people who won't be "swallow anything" sheep!

Cav, CBS, ABC, and NBC don't have to sell anything to get you to watch. Those are the only TV news outlets people who don't subscribe to cable can get! What's the readership of any ONE of the LA Times, the New York Times, or the Wastington Post, compared to the Wall Street Journal? Yes, almost every outlet is slanted to some degree, but I think Fox slants less than CNN. But my point is whose agenda is put forward the most before the people who are the least likely to do the research that you do? Before you say who cares about them, let me remind you that THEY more than anyone else will choose the next President!

CWF -- man, i'll tell you one thing: i am VERY concerned about the ignorance of many, many people in this country who are going to be electing someone to the most powerful (arguably) position in the world!

when i hear some of the utter b.s. spouted by people -- on both "sides" -- it's enough to put me in a cold sweat! lol

i don't for a second think i'm any "smarter" than anyone else. but i do know that i put time into reaching conclusions, and i do my research well before making ANY important decision.

there are a lot of americans who put more thought into which brand of cereal they'll eat than they do into who they'll elect to the office of president. and that's just downright scary.
