okay. enough "lesser of two evils." if you could pick ANYONE who is eligible for the post, who would you WANT to see as the POTUS?

I honestly don't see anyone out there I would expect to do the job any better than Bush. Maybe Colin Powell? Stormin' Norman isn't political, but I think he could take care of the wartime issues. But I guess Powell would be my choice for all around qualifications.

but what do I know, I'm just a babykiller

Schwarzkof would be an excellent choice along with Alan Keyes. I just wish that they also had a successful business track record- not just the "book knowledge".

I'm not a Perot fan. Friends who worked for him at either EDM or Perot Systems, told me how he used to "terrorize" his employees. He is an eccentric.

By the way, anyone who accuses an American military man of being a baby killer has no credibility.

Tony, I forgot about McCain! I didn't vote for him in part because of his smarmy, patronizing smirks when he was debating Dubya. Now, I wish I had voted for him- he may have been justified in goofing on Bush.

Bloody Spaniard- Thank you, I was wondering how long it would take for anyone to notice.

Dave- as soon as he won, I was wondering how long before he started lobbying (or someone started lobbying on his behalf) to lift the constitutional requirement of nativity. I'm not sure that he'd be any worse than what's out there!

DB- Are you sure you want someone who was absent from representing his constituancy 66% of the time?

Been thinking about this, for awhile, since my last post.
I cannot see anyone in politics, who deserves the job.
But someone, who is a straight shooter, and doesn't pull punches, who IMNSHO would be a great president.
GEORGE CARLIN

WOW, I was going to say George Carlin myself. I have thought he would make a great president since I saw his HBO special a few years ago.
He has a great perception about how things really are, and like Homebrew said, he is a straight talker.

I love his views on the enviroment.

Fudge, I'm curious. How'd you come up with your handle? I assume that you're a lady and you like to eat or make fudge, right? Please don't tell me that you're a male interior decorator or a WWF "rassler"- it'll destroy the image in my head...

BS, it comes from a stuffed dog I had as a kid, and still have strangly enough. I was in need of a handle one day and I looked round the room and saw my dog Fudge sat on the wardrobe.

I hate to burst your bubble but I am indeed a WWF wrestler and my hobby is interior decoration, my specialty is the 'paint effect body slam'.

Carlin for president!

Fudge, that was Cavallo NOT me! Tony you're a brave man!

Fudge, I'm not tangling with you again. First, you call me BS, and now I'm imagining a large, hairy, bald man in tights with a stuffed dog on his dresser.

Yikes- I gotta scrub my pea brain out!

Hmmmmmmmmmmm... A three hundred pound, hairy-backed rassler who calls me BS. You know? I could learn to live with that.

Brent Scowcroft, before he became a softy... Colin Powell before he became indecisive (my opinion), James Baker before he retired, John Ashcroft before he became the scapegoat.

My guess is I'll be voting for Ralph Richards in 2016.

fudge the dog for prez! or is that an ex-dog. hrm. could be problematic!

okay, so aside from political types, since george carlin was mentioned as well as hannity i believe, what celebrity types in general would you like to see in the white house? hypothetically, that is.

How about Triumph the insult dog? What's the poop on him? I've heard his wife's put him on a short leash, but he's got a bitch on the side anyway.

Now see what you've done? Bad Cavallo Bad!
