Just a heads up for you all who like a good Rosado wrapper and notes of complex flavor in your cigars. Perdomo came out with a new stick they call the Genuine Counterfit Cuban. I got the Torpedos and I gotta tell you, these could easily be my every day smoke. Full-bodied, burns even, a very nice complex flavor with spice and pepper running through. Hey, and its cheap too. $50.00 gets you most sizes. Hey this is not an advertisement, I just think y'all should give them a try....Cheers!.....Brent

I think this is the same cigar I picked up from Melski in the recent box pass. He suggested a full meal before attempting!

I was coming here to post about these cigars. Does anyone have any more info on this cigar. I have seen them advertised, and would like to try them. I have not seen them in my local stores yet. Email me info at [email protected].
Hey CigarBid, any chance you guys will get any of these?

I don't think Cigarbid will carry these. They are an exclusive of "another" vendor. Anything made by Perdomo is worth a try (except Cuban Bullets, yuck). They sound good. And the price is right.

Jack, I don't think that they are exclusive to anybody. I've seen them advertised at many places, and for a decent price. They sounded like a gimmick, which usually means that they would suck. But the review from Brent has stirred up some interest. I may go hunting for some of these. If I do, I'll be sure to post my thoughts.

These are made by Tabaclera Perdomo in Esteli, Nicaragua. The box-pressed Churchills are good right out of the box, but the Torpedos need some time to rest (I suggest 2 months). Make sure you don't smoke these on an empty stomach. Even burn, beautiful looking, full-bodied, but a bit acrid if you don't give them time in the 'dor.

If anyone's still reading this thread.... I had one of these, the Churchill, a couple of nights ago (THANKS, MELSKI!) -- what a great cigar! I loved the flavor. Draw was a little on the tight side, probably over-humidified; I should have pulled it out of the humidor a day prior. But great! So, where's my buddy Brent?!

This is the only cigar that has made me ill. The taste is interesting, but I just can't seem to get past the first inch. I'm much more liking the Pre-Embargo Vintage GCCC. Can't wait for these to become available.
