look -- i tried in as gentlemanly a way as is possible (if i had your email addy i'd have done so privately) to ask you for a SIMPLE HUMAN COURTESY -- to please not bring up graphic concentration camp images in your posts on a cigar board.
i know that you are very capable of describing your views without doing so. you're not stupid by any means.
think of it this way -- would it disturb folks if i kept dredging up the most horrific POW images i could find to describe my thoughts on anything from politics to art? i would think that to be a blatent purposeful lack of respect to the denizens here.
65, i came from the streets, too. i don't think you could find much worse of a neighborhood than the one i grew up in -- and learned so much from. yes, i went to college; i was one of 2 people from my neighborhood that didn't end up dead or in prison by the time we hit our 20's. but it was what i learned on the streets that HELPED me be successful as a student, too. sheep don't go far academically, and your view of college doesn't mean much to me. if you haven't been, then you don't know WHAT classes (or profs) are like. i'm grateful to the hard-nosed korean and vietnam vet professors i had for their excellent teaching -- and both were slightly right of attila the hun. i don't think i had a single prof who i'd consider even remotely liberal. well, maybe one poetry professor who was a feminist.
you might consider something, though -- the more you crow about how smart you are and how stupid others are who simply disagree with you, the more credibility you lose as someone with something valuable to say, and the more you sound like a typical Enquirer-reading, medication-needing whackadoodle.
i might actually applaud you for your exquisite minimalism when your response to my humble request was to simply type: "pig." i'm sure that you would be admired by myriad sixth graders by such intellectual ballbusters as that.
it is perhaps humorous to some when a person makes a simple request that you hurl names at him and throw in a red herring of a political nature rather than simply respond to the comment at hand. some aren't laughing with you. they're not even laughing near you.
though it might inspire a chuckle or even a full-on guffaw to see a farm animal belch and fart as it wallows gleefully in its own excrement, the laughter is usually brief, and most folks find it a bit of a bore after the first dozen or so times.
you are, of course, free to ignore this and anything else that doesn't burst into applause when you tap dance in the muck and mire -- that's fine. again, it was a simple and serious request. if you can only buffoon it, well, i guess one shouldn't expect more from someone with such limited material at his disposal. parameters are parameters after all, and i hadn't considered your handicaps when i made the request.
it's abundantly clear that you fancy yourself to be an intellectual giant, but i never knew a genius who insisted on spreading his pearls before swine like us. most have had the good sense to pack it in and find a worthier audience. however, perhaps it's just the case that you really don't WANT your pronouncements to be challenged because you are fully aware that they're simply made of so much crepe paper and fluff and would not survive even the gentlest scrutiny.
in that case, just keep doing what you're doing. you may only capable of puking out the same low-road, repetive, hysterical crap. at least we can all say, "he had such limitations, but he was very good at what he did best" -- even if that sole talent is the equivalent of a monkey flinging poop at his own shadow.
