Just how minor are the flaws in the aluminum Cigar Attaches?

... enough to avoid entirely IMHO -

- go with the Pelican Cigar Case - esnecially if you go camping a lot like your SN suggests .... I've yet to lose a cigar due to damage in my Pelican case and I take my 'gars on both quads & motorcycles, offroad, fishing, camping, hell ... I do more with my 'gars than my family ... LOL

You'll NEVER regret buying a Pelican.

No pelican here but I am very happy with my otterboxes. I take em everywhere I go.

Camping and going to herfs is the main reason I was asking. Since I like Churchill and Presidente size cigars I thought the attache would be the way to go. Is the 5-count Otterbox okay? Can you compare it to the Pelican?

Thanks.

I have one. It has a very small crack in the plastic in the corner. I get compliments on it all the time. Worth every penny of the $8.00 I paid for it. They aren't for going camping with or for throwing around (the smokes kinda move around a bit) but if you just want to take some smokes with you its great.

Just wish it had a handle.

Seen Beat's, it's great! Mine should be here any minute now. Come on little brown truck!

I would love to have one of those otter boxes, but I just can't seem to afford it! I have one of those alum cases....I pack a little foam around the gars and it helps...but not the same!

In the initial post by Sketcha, the phrase "Seen Beats, its great" is in referrence to his cigar attache.

Uh, yeah, cigar attache.

Just opened my CBid box. Mine has 1 little nick in the corner (of the cigar attache) like Beat's. Love it! Beat must've gotten in on these early. Haven't seen 'em for much under $20, if that. Got a black one for $19.

Otterbox looks to have similar construction to Pelican. Pelican, however, is not only waterproof, but guaranteed against sharkbite, bear attack, and children under five! No lie G.I.!!!

I have three Otter boxes and love 'em. My only complaint was the first two, both 5 capacity - one long and one short - didn't hold enough cigars, especially if I was traveling for a few days or planning to share. I solved that with a 15 capacity.

i was recently gifted with a 5-count "Cigar Caddy" from a BlOodTL *cough* who shall remain nameless. this thing is GREAT! holds them perfectly still, waterproof (though i do NOT intend on checking that, nice to know if i get on any boats this summer) and my gimpo hands can lock/unlock it easily.

The cigar attache has such a classy look to it compared to the otterbox. Maybe not as well suited for SCUBA smoking, but perfect for day trips and over the hill, to like, say Santa Cruz, eh Beat?

Actually the fog just rolled back in. Not the best day, but damn we've had a great month.
