I was wondering,
As the end of the first year, who wants to go for another round. I for one would be happy to go for another year. I know that we have lost Docrks, and Hoagie55, I need to know who else wants to go for year two. I will be checking this thread for the next week, but I will not be making this years list, until I get the boxpass out the door, on the first. I need the members, who want in this years, to respond before then. If there are too many who don't want to play, then I will open it up, for new members.
Have a great day

Great Rocco,
Glad to see some of the members are still here. I had toyed with the idea, of running over to the other board, and starting it there, but this is where the Original Birthday club was born, and here, on cbid, is where it belongs. I hate to lose Docrks, and any other of the original members, but I can't justify changing boards, for the club, because some of the members have left, not that any of them would ask such a thing. That would be unfair, to the members who are left here, and the spirit which formed this club.

Dave,

I fully agree. Even though I spent most of my time at the other board, this is still where I got my start. I consider all of the Birthday Club members friends and would like to see it continued, even if it is a scaled down version.

Talk to you soon.....Rocco

Appreciate the invite Dave but I'm going to bow out. This time of year throughout the Summer is my off time so to speak from dealing with other than a few trades here and there. I'm also cutting back on spending so my premium stash is now limited to trades.

To all of the original b-day club members:

I still owe cigars to many of you and have your names and addresses to send them to you once I gain meaningful employment. I had several promising job opportunities when this thing started and that is why I joined at that time. In no way did I imagine that I would be unemplyed for this long. If I had thought that way, I would not have joined in the first place.

Right now I have a part-time job that is an on-call basis and I just do not have the money to spend on shipping cigars. Being unemployed for close to 2 years is not a fun thing and I would really like to stay in the club, but common sense or fiscal sense tells me to bow out this year and concentrate on the job market.

Thanks for a blast this past year!
Matt

Dave,

I am in for another year. I am sorry to lose some of the greatest BOTL but we must go on. There is nothing like the orignal. Look at Coke. :) I know I don't post on the board hardly at all , if any but still look in. So anyway, again I am in for the next year. Come on all you old timers join up for another year. Remember what your birthday month was like, like having sex everyday. I know none of us old timers have sex everyday, anymore. Join up BOTL's

I will have the list, on Thurs.

Question:

What about the members of the Orig B-day club that have not seen this thread?? Are they counted out?? Maybe an email should be sent to each member asking if they are in or out... Maybe we can't just rely on this thread... I don't want to not send to someone, thinking that they are out, and then get something from them on my b-bay...

Hey Lowman,
You are very correct.
I have emailed, several members, who I don't see here any more. Docrks, smithbw, etc. I have not recieved a reply.
I will continue to try and get in touch. It has been a tough couple of weeks around here, but I have gotten this afternoon, and evening, slotted to make sure all original members get a shot, at this years go around. I will be sending emails to everyone, on last years list.
I have had a couple of them bow out, by way of email. I will do eveything possible, to make sure who is in, and who is out, before sending out the final list.
Thanks Guys.

I got an email, from an original member, asking me to leave the membership, with only original members. As I said, in my email, it must be unanimous before I added new members, so it looks like this is the final lineup, for year 2.
Thanks Guys

Hey Low,
I kinda feel the same way. But thats the way the cookie crumbles. After the end of the month, I hear a new BD club, is opening up, at CW. The founder just doesn't want to be first on the list, so he is starting it, in May.
