Depends on your tastes. Since you say you're new, I go with mild-medium, I'd suggest Cupido, CAO L'Anniversaire Cameroon, Perdomo2 Cameroon, Ashton Cabinet. I wouldn't waste my money with the Macanudo (although I have to admit the Mac Robust line is pretty good), and Dominican Montecristos of the world. They're just names with one-note throughout the duration of the cigar. Hope that helps :) If you have any questions, email me at [email protected] .

buy 5 packs that no one else wants because they will be cheap. remember it is $3.95 for the first 5 pack and $.50 for each additional so go for weekly shipping
to keep the cost down. by at least 5 5 packs so the shipping cost is $.20 a cigar instead of almost a buck per cigar on a 5 pack. i would not spend more than $10.00 on a five pack until you get some brands you like and than you can buy more. try different lengths and guages. some cigars at a 46 guage just wouldn't be any good at a 50 guage. e-mail me at [email protected], and i'll give you my address to send a sase. i'll send you back a cigar cutter that is about as good as any you can buy, and some info about maintaining your humidor. don't waste money on humidifiying devices, you can make a perfect one for a few dollars.

That's right. First things first. What characteristics drew you to become a "cigar smoker"? Then try many different brands. And don't go overboard at first, because your tastes will change very quickly. You may want to try brands that are inexpensive but enjoy a good following amongst experienced smokers, such as Mayorga and La Luna. I also like the Aristoff brand and they priced right at this auction (usually). Oh, and now that you're here, "You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave...."
