Has anyone ever sent a suspect ISOM band to Cigar Aficianado for authentication? They invite you to do so and then you never hear from them. F them and the mag rag that I will NEVER buy again.

Yes, with the same result that you encountered. Also, same holds true for pictures sent to that "publication", why I continue to buy the Vanity Fair version of Shankman's publication is beyond me, but I still buy the damn thing. He introduced the magazine in 1992 and has made a fortune on it and then turned his back on his readers. What a creep! I would add something PI here but will allow the CB readers to fill in that thought. Charlie

LMAO!...Shankman is a *** ****!...I don't remember when I laughed sooo damn hard at a post....I'm laughing so hard now I can barely type....LOL,,I agree on the pics...I sent a great pic of myself in Vegas enjoying an Excalibur in front of one of the cool Excalibut statues and of course it didn't get published...But they publish every other stupid ass pic...I will NEVER subscribe to that P.O.S. rag ever again...They abandoned the people who made them filthy rich, the real cigar smokers...**** them...I hope they go broke, those ignorant ******

I agree with Rookie on the subject of the ****, smiling, turncoat **** that publishes that magazine(err Rag) that is competing with Vanity Fair, GQ, and Elle for space on the racks these days. Hell, he should go ahead and remove cigar from the damn name of his ****! Charlie

i am so glad to read all these posts about Cigar Af.
the mag was garbage when it came out and still is. it's like playboy for adolescents. the best wine that no one can afford the stereo with 40 speakers and all the rest of the stuff dreams (for the high school mind) are made of. they at one time tested some humidors in the three thousand dollar range that would hold 100 cigars. the damn humi cost more than the cigars you could put in it. i was reluctant to mention anything about the mag for fear of offending someone, but now that i see you guys are all hip to it's junk, i feel better. if i could just get a few more minds swung to the left a little, i can die in peace. i am smoking a nice monte DR at the moment and

If you have any suspected counterfeits, send them to me.....I'll smoke them and e-mail you my opinion of them, Not that I claim to be an expert...I just could use a free stick now and again.....
