Big news in engineering today.

My grandparents would have spent days on a boat, my parents hours on a prop plane with many stops, and I have spent the usual 8 hours. Looks like my boys will see the day when it takes a couple hours.

I watched this live yesterday on Fox News Channel, Absolutely awsome! It had me hooting like a kid.
My dad lived from 1918-1992, and grew up here in the Cleveland area, back when it was a hub of aviation. He used to watch the National Air Races with Jimmy Doolittle, Roscoe Turner, and all those guys. He even climbed a pylon, and cut a swatch of the banner down. I still have it, and it is one of my most cherished possesions from him. He was able to witness so many major advances in aviation, I envy him.
I can't wait to see how this will affect aviation and travel in the future.
