I'm sorry...I just can't talk about this sort of thing right now. I'm still feeling the rapier of Crap_out's wit, and suffering from the slings and arrows of my own recent outrageous fortune. The wounds are just too deep, too wide, and *sniff* too raw.

Legended nearly to death.

I've given up on Cusano......The D Conn robusto tasted like dried cabbage to me and a "97 Corojo I tried a while ago had the draw of a pipe! Gave it away to some drunk guy sittin' at the bar! He liked it! I think his name was Mikie!!!!

I won't try to come up with the best "tastes like...." analogy for mine. A few of the ones previously mentioned I enjoy a lot.

I'll chalk these up simply as cigars I wouldn't purchase again, and leave it at that.

Flor del Todo
El Mejor Espresso
La Estrella Cubana
RP R4 Maduro
Padilla Obsidian
Sol Cubano Series B (or whatever has the blue band)
RP Fusion Toro (They all "blew up" on me)

This has got to be the worst even for a bundle cigar = Quorom. I use them as test dummies to get new humidors ready. That's all they are good for. POS.

Glad to see that I'm not alone in thinking VS Vintage indeed SUCKS AZZ. So do the VS 10th Anniversary. I think they spend more on the little ribbons they put on these to make them look like some kind of premium cigar than they spend on the banana leaves and roots that they must make these POS sticks out of.

As I pondered this question I began to wish I never opened this thread... horrible memories flooded back into the forefront of my mind and I am reliving the horrors of the following smokes one more time...

5V Gold
Cienfuegos (sp?)
Felipe Gregorio Icon
Legends Gray, Purple, Black, Blue, Copper
And many others that are not mentionable due to extreme case of cold sweats from reliving the past...

I've tried tons of cheap smokes and they all sucked azz. But the single biggest dissapointment was the Legend Purple Greycliff. Man that is a lame excuse for a cigar. Soft, loose and tastes awfull.

FGM and whistlebritches,
I'm talking all RyJ's, even the Cubans.
There's just something about them that I can't figure out. Maybe a mental block that makes my taste buds go crazy...
I haven't had a short churchill, and I've heard good things about them, so maybe in the future I'll try one to see.

The greatest value to this thread is determining who's tastes follow your own and if their opinions are valuable or not. Sure, they are valuable to themselves, but I like hearing from people thats actually given cigars a chance and enjoy flavors that follow my own tastes. I know of about a dozen guys here I can bid on (or avoid) smokes simply off there opinion. One started the thread, and several others have commented.
I can tell several people have not actually had a truly "bad" cigar.

Liga IV ; Not just that I didn't like it personally, they seemed mildewed.

I'd rather smoke a turd than these. I bought a 5'er and shared them. Got the same response from all. I couldn't get through 4 or 5 puffs. Just awful.

Just had one of my Camacho 10yr Anniversary Corojo and for the price that thing is pretty bland. Keep in mind I am a Camacho fan and was hoping for much more. I would not recommend these.

Quorum is actually useful to me. I use them to test out the seasoning on every new humidor. Test dummies. I like to have numerous 100ct's all over my office. Also if there is someone I don't really like - I offer him one. It's fun just to look at the expression on their face when they try not to gag smoking it.

AB Medalist - Got 10, over half were plugged right near the band, and the rest barely offered any smoke.

I like these kinds of threads. The funny thing is that the following cigars mentioned here I thought were fairly decent:

* Conneticut Yankee,
* Oliveros 1927,
* Oliveros El Padrino,
* CAO America,
* Cuba Libre natural,
* Padilla Obsidians,
* Cienfuegos,
* CI Legends Gray,
* Ramon Allones,
* Onyx,
* Padilla Hybrid,
* Camacho Corojo,
* 5 Vegas Gold,
* Fellipe Gregorio Icon,
* Matacan.

Tastes vary.

My list?

* Fighting **** (H-A-R-S-H)
* Maxims de Paris (it took two days before that bitter metallic taste went away),
* Jose Marti (Oh my God, what a piece of crap),
* Playboy by Don Diego (that "twang" they describe must be crap),
* National Brand (the smell is reflective of the taste: awful).

La Estrella Cubana gets an honorable mention. While the taste is both unique and sharp, the aroma of the smoke has a perfume quality that lends itself to headaches.

I agree the CI Legends Purple was a let-down.

I know I'm going to catch hell for this one....

OPUS X

By far the worst smoke based on the money spent. I have only had one and it was purchased in a steak house in New Orleans. I realize the wrapper and draw disappointments come from the lack of stability in their humidor, but still. I should have taken the stick back but I was already several blocks away and many drinks partaken.

I've been gifted a few and have been letting them sit for a while. I'll give it another shot.

But as for now....it is the worst smoke for the money. IMHO

Any Victor Sinclar, Puros Indios, Felipe Gregorio, Ramon Allones, Nub - all kinds, RP Vintage 90-92-99, Gurkha Expedition (only bad Gurkha), virtually all bundle cigars. They come in a bundle for a reason. Oh yea, all Alec Bradley but the Tempest (which still sucks but is not bad enough to be on this list) and the Pryme (which has actually gotten pretty good with age), and any "house" cigar from a site that rhymes with Schmopson. Never had a house blend that I like, except from GSS.

I'm not too proud to admit I tried 'em.

Mr. B

They suck azz. I smoked one, gagged my way down aboaut an inch, then it got progessively worse. I stomped it out. I tossed the rest of the bundle in the trash. I wouldn't even pass these out at an A-hole convention.

Save your money.

I think I still have a couple/3 el padrinos drying out in my basement. So bad I took em out of the coolerdor in case they're contagious, but don't recall actually throughing them out.

May also still have, but will not ever smoke (ok, maybe if all other cigars on earth were destroyed I'd try them again) oliveros 1927, liga iv, cusano mini perfecto shaped like a AF Short Story that came out about 6 months ago the proper name of which I can't recall.

Punch champion almost made the list but not quite.

Acid Kuba Kuba in my opinion is a false advertizing law suit waiting to happen - the build and all the other aspects are so great, but the taste! Good lord! If I wanted to smoke one of those "rain" scented drier sheets, I'd just wrap one around a cigar.

Will not ever buy (for myself, anyways) a flavored cigar of any kind, based on the Kuba experience.

*pueblo dominicano (worst cigar I've ever had in my life)
*camacho coyolar puro (I bought an entire box, the wrappers are dry looking, the burn is awful, they are under filled and bitter as hell)
*felipe gregorio (i bought about 6 different brands and they all sucked)
*puros indios (the aliados are barely smokeable though)
*perdomo Compay
*Oliva serie S. No wonder they are not in the Oliva ads any more.
