This is something that I have recently encountered with a 10 pack of Sinatra Robutstos won on CB. Let me begin by saying I wish I had won many more because they are the fullest tasting, kick ass Gregorio's I have ever smoked. These have a really full strength, nutty taste and are just outstanding. Now the question.....can a cigar be so different from the standard for the size and shape and manufacturer? What causes this? Twilight Zone or something, because while I like Sinatras, I have never had a Sinatra like these! Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. Charlie

charlie: i used to use that same exprssion "won" until my son pointed out the correct word is bought. won implies free and allows us to delude ourselves into thinking we got something for nothing.

Charlie...Don't mind Rick...He still believes that us Republicans BOUGHT....Sorry...I mean "WON" the presidential election ;) ,...SO, to actually attempt to answer your question, I feel that because of variances in environmental factors such as drought, rain, sunshine, etc, it has to be absolutely impossible for a brand of cigar to taste EXACTLY the same all the time...Tastes will change, caused by these fluctuations in the named factors...Also, the manufacturers DO make small variances in blends and, thus, causes the tastes to change, sometimes a subtle change, sometimes a somewhat drastic change....Hope this helped....Keith

Keith, I am aware of the subtle changes and other but wow, what a drastic change (a good one in my view) in these sticks from previous Sinatra's. Good shot on winning the election in Florida(which I guess GWB will have to keep rewinning as each recount comes up in his favor)and I think that Rick is right when it comes to winning in Cigar Bid auctions. i finally get the correct board. talk about cigars, and get lambasted for my apparent political opinions.
i guess i'll get raked over the coals on the political board about my choices for cigars.
