**ahem** I may be mistaken, but out of members still posting, I think I've been here longer than slim. However, slim is DEFINITELY more active.

I started posting on c-bid forums in early 2000, and I think slim started in mid 2000.

I did a search for both of us (too much free time on my hands ATM).

Earliest slim post I can find, July 2000:
http://www.cigarbid.com/...geDisplay=0000000000004

Earliest heg post I can find, April 2000:
http://www.cigarbid.com/...ageDisplay=0000000000052

RE: MACS
-First post ever on c-bid forums was on March 28, 2000:
http://www.cigarbid.com/...geDisplay=0000000000001

-The website has existed (I believe) since October 1999.

-If wanyburger or robnsue or bud451 or rookie139 or fbcoacho or Hansen or montanajack still posted here, they would be the oldest of the oldbies.
Wany still lurks, and rookie, coach, Hansen, bud, rob and mtjack are all in their own grazing pasture at KC's Worldwide or you can find them on cw.

OK, these are official now. Here are the official first posts (now I must take my meds for my OCD :p ) :

First appearance of hegemonic, April 11, 2000:
http://www.cigarbid.com/...geDisplay=0000000000042

First appearance of slimboli, July 23, 2000:
http://www.cigarbid.com/...geDisplay=0000000000004

First appearance of hubcap!, April 21, 2000:

Heg is correct ...

... but it is funny that my post is on the 4th thread ever posted, and Heg's is on the 42nd ... very strange.

Hansen, Timinator and Wanyburger hit the #2 thread ... with Hansen in the lead ...

Note the "~" I used. As in about/approximatley/etc. I knew I'd been around a while. Wich I knew exactly how long. Maybe 4 yrs exactly. I wonder how much I have given to CBid in that length of time.

At some point I believe the forum's history may have been jumbled. I posted from my office in late 1999 before I retired in early 2000.

I believe that it's a three way tie between ****** Long, Phil McCrack, and Claude Bawls. No doubt about it.

Ooooops, I misread.
I thought it read, "Who has the longest??"

True the conversations here are repetitive. But in the overall world of cigars what has really changed in the past 100 years? They've developed some new strains of tobacco, created new blends, added some shapes and sizes.

What "new" information is there? Aside from critiques of new brands there isn't much news.

Slim: That could well be.

I officially retired in July of 2000, but put in 15-20 hours a week February---April, vacationed all of May and June. It could easily have been in early 2000 when I began posting.
