So, in your opinion, which NFL teams got steals this this last weekend drafts??...What trades intrigued you??.. who has you scratching your head??...

And was what is your early prediction for your teams finish now that the draft is done?

Think Philly addressed what it didnt in the off-season...should be a solid season...and hopefully the free agent signings of Owens (whom i am not a fan of) and "The Freak" will get us to the next level...

Most perplexing...as a Dallas hater i paid attention to what they were doing...and i could honestly say they really screwed up their draft...at least IMHO...

And oh yeah...i dont think Manning is going to be a good fit in the Giants...i actually think he just did not want to be in the same conference as his bro...at least this way he can say that the players in the NFC are better that is why his numbers are down...

Just wait 'till it gets cold up there and those NYG fans start showing their love...

I don't understand the Manning thing about San Diego. I think he just magnified the pressure on himself tenfold. I agree Ras about the Manning/NY fit. And now I hear Kerry Collins wont be back.

In the NFC... Minnesota, Arizona and Atlanta will make some noise and had decent drafts. Dallas may be a notch better. Perhaps Tampa, too. But in the end the class is Carolina, Philly, St. Louis, Green Bay, Seattle and I don't see any of these teams tailing off much.

OH and there is the AFC... well I'll address this later

Oakland landed the best prospect by far in Gallery. San Diego should have drafted him. Minnesota got the steal of the first round getting Udeze at 20. Even with the minor shoulder issue. Some interesting reaches, Tampa (Clayton), and Philly (Andrews). Some might consider Chris Perry a reach in the first, but IMHO, Cincy got the most complete football player at that position. Once again New England was stellar. Or lucky, I can't decide which.

Dallas had the worst case of Cranial Rectumosis I have seen in a while.

I hope Kellen Winslow gets his head taken off.

Definitely the best draft the Rams have had in quite some time. They picked up a big back and help at safety and DE. Especially since Little is apparently a moron.

bassdude, you are so correct. I am not a Rams fan but I think Rams fans will love Jackson. Big and strong and will either provide a nice complement to Faulk or can spell him when he gets hurt as he seems prone to be every season. Jackson is a hard worker who while at OSU kept trying to improve his game. Especially catching the ball out of the back field.

The Patriots did pretty well, had Wilfork (U Miami) drop to them with the 21st pick, and they got Corey Dillon for a 2nd round pick. The other players fill needs and seem like they have some potential.

Raiders, Rams, and Lions did well.

lions did well - but lets see what they do in the "produce" department this year. HArrington has everything he needs to have either a great season or fall on his face for the last time with no excuses!

I really can't figure out if Dallas did good or not.I think they did. It's one of those things that only time will tell. It only proved one thing - Parcell's is looking well into the future, and that's a good thing. I love Julius Jones -as a ND fan, he was the only thing good about last season. I think he'll do well. We still have a QB issue, but the draft wouldn't have solved that. If Buffalo has a bad season and Jones peforms as well as I think he will, the deal will prove to be genius and Cowboys will go to a Super Bowl by 2006. Mark my words, the Great Etho has spoken...

The GREAT ETHO is either the Eternal Optimist or rides on the "Special Bus"

Hers what Dr.Z (SI) had to say about Julius Jones

A breathtakingly fast (4.45) fumbler. If the guy gains 1500 yards, I will personally get out of the draft rating business and go into something more sensible, such as haberdashery.

I'm not so sure the Rams did that well, Madurotom...
In the draft the RB they got, although a good one, doesn't really fit into their current scheme. The DE in the third round may be a comer but they lost DE Wistrom to the Seahawks and possibly the other DE Little to DUI felony charges.

In the AFC, Pats had the best draft I've ever seen from a Super Bowl champ. Wolfolk will be a stud a good TE and a possible steal a WR (PK SAM). The Raiders did a great job beefing up their OL plus a couple of WR prospects that help. The Chargers pick up a lot of picks for trading Manning but it remains to be seen if they can pick decent talent with those picks. I like The Steelers pickup of QBRoethlisberger and the new OT Starks...two nice picks with long term benefits.

All in all the Patriots are still the team to beat in the AFC with Indy, perhaps Denver and Tennesee chasing them. The Pats are still the class of the whole league and it wouldn't surprise me if they repeated.

BD, I don't need someone else to tell me about Julius Jones - I've heard him talk and I've seen him play. He has serious potential.

Oh, and I've got two isoms that says Dallas won't pick up Collins. (how dare you question the Great Etho!)

I think Dr. Z is a putz, just like to give Dallas fans a little shot whenever possible. :)

Kinna like Bucaneros

I think it comes from when Drew Pearson shoved Nate Wright to the ground in NFC Title game.....freakin cheaters!

Viva La Culpepper!
