I recently tried an Acid cigar. I found the construction flawless, the burn even. The tobaccos used were obviously of the highest caliber.
However.......WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING????? It was apparently dipped in granny's perfume bottle then sprinkled with citrus oils!! My senses were so shocked that I continued to smoke this horrible abomination to cigar smokers everywhere thinking there must be some hidden subtle nuance that my uncultured pallet must be missing. when I finally finished it and pondered the sticky sweet aftertaste in my mouth I decided that if this is the new cutting edge of cigardom, I'll just slink into a corner and keep quiet about my Avo's, Mac.vintage's, R.&J.s and such, Thinking perhaps these people smoking this "New Age" smoke will just go away.
There, I feel better now that I've vented. Thank you CI for this space

I agree Papa...I have no idea why some actually enjoy smoking those higher-priced premium Swisher Sweets...Oh well...different strokes for different folks I guess..The only positive note (for me at least) I see about them is that my wife will partake in a (emphasis on the quotation marks) "cigar" at the same time I do, and I don't have to smoke outside on the patio...I can then smoke inside the house and the smoke from her "Acid" or "Lars" or whatever perfumey-smelling "cigar" she partakes in, somewhat neutralizes the smoke emitting from my beloved CAO L'Aniversaire (maduro of course..although the Cameroon wrappers are great too)

I guess once again I will be the goat. I also like the stronger stuff but find the Acids a nice change of pace, I don't know which one you tried but I enjoy the Kuba Kuba and the ACid1. It is a different horse but I think it is a great smoke.

I was sincere when I said the constuction was flawless, the burn even and only top notch tobaccos used, however I found the added "flavors" way over powering thus, for me the total package was a miss. to each his own I guess. glad you enjoy them Robnsue, but do you keep them in your regular humidor or do you have a special box just for them.

Not my choice for an everyday stick, but I think ACID and Lars make for a nice change of pace. I may smoke only 1 or 2 per month. The Lars shorty is pretty damn good, if I many be so bias.

Do you, or anyone else for that matter, know about the Lars DaJoint? I'm thinking about trying some -

Buy it, cut it, and fire it up. As you have noticed from reading the above comments, these (ACID and Lars) cigars seam to have a love/hate following.
