What no horse-racing fans ? Smarty ( BTW a Philadelphia horse ) Jones won the Preakness by 11 1/2 lengths and now only needs a Belmont win to seal the triple crown last captured in 1976. Tap Tap is this on hell-lo anyone home? JonR

this is some special horse. when i saw him break for home, i could see him tense for his sprint and go.
there was no second place. smarty won and the rest were last.

hey i had a Preakness who do you like post yesterday. I also piked Smarty yesterday and in the Derby . 50 bucks on the nose both times. Hey barring a tradgedy of some type this guys gonna win the Triple crown. He is way ahead of the rest of his class .

Smarty Jones is definitely going to win the triple crown.. I've never seen a horse run with such energy since Secretariat when I was a teenager. I'm also happy ffor all those Philly horse fans... Nice to have a great horse come up through other pedigrees outside of the state of Kentucky... Nothing against Kentucky but its good for horse racing when local horse heroes emerge.

What a great horse!!!

What a late kick. Hey i am from Harrisburg ,Pa which is the PA state capitol and the Govenor,(speedy Rendel) has the whole budget bet on Smarty takin the Triple Crown.

I'm not much of a horse racing fan, but when I saw Smarty charge at the end - it took my breath away! It seems like every year we're so starved for a triple crown winner, if a horse wins the first, they search for some story to make everyone fall in love with him so we'll support him in hopes of a triple crown, and they've done the same with this horse and the story of him fracturing his skull, but man - how can you not love this horse or pick him to go all the way? Smarty Party for me!
