Hey Rick... what do you think... is it time for me to start some more threads like this. So far I have abstained from initiating threads raising political issues and kept my posts to responding to others when they get too opinionated and outspoken and away from reality and context on numerous neo-con talking points. I'm wondering if its time to bring some more balance to this board and do more initiating of threads. Maybe somethng to give our friends the Neo-conservative BOTL something more to think about...

Just thinking out load a bit..... Don't you think this board needs a bit more issue raising from the left to make things more,(With due respect to Fox News), Fair and Balanced...

Seeing the responses from the neo-cons would be so enlighting and entertaining.....

I find it interesting that liberals love to paint Bush as a buffoon and a puppet in one breath and in the other say that in the space of less than nine months he planned and orchestrated the 9-11 attacks. this kind of conspiricay theory is beneath you rick. After reviewing the last questions that hockey dad posted that were cut off, I would say that the sight also looks rather anti-semitic.

I just wanted it pointed out that the questions Hockeydad raised were not from his own mouth but were rather the last questions of the 117 that got cut off in ricks post. If you go to that home page and rut around a bit, you will find many other questions that they would like to have answered. A few of which I cut and pasted, spelling errors and all. You were quick to pick up on the Anti-Israel theme, you failed to pick up on the fact that the questions all came from the same place as Rick's 117 questions. Rick's 117 questions are the tamer ones from that website. By the way, some of the 117 questions are darn good ones.

What you have here is a real quandry. The anti-Bush conspiracy theory website that Rick posted his questions from also contains a lot of anti-Israel and anti-Semitic stuff. These things you were quick to point out as being in the same line as your theory that Republicans are Nazis. My thoughts are, this is a lame attempt to try to connect dots that aren't connectable. It's like the bible code. There are other books of similar length, a tale of two cities? or the x-rated version, a tail of two cities, or War and Peace, where you can apply random codes and get names and events and locations just like people claim with the bible code. My point is, that if someone related to Bin-Laden bought stock in a company that Bush was involved with, what in the *#&% does that prove? Were any Israelis also buying any of that stock? Any democrats? I think we need a full investigation! Hell, maybe even John Kerry's wife invested. It's BS, it's "thin", it's a "red herring", it's intended to distract, to obfuscate, and if the Republicans posted similar crap I'd be just as quick to point it out...

Now if you break this down, you will see that it starts with a source. Actually, it is Rick's source that he didn't post. There is no problem with posting sources or selective editing since it has been right there in front of you the whole time. This is an issue of selective reading on your part.

Now let's look at my sentences.

Notice the use of the word "they" twice and "their" once. That would imply some group of people. Notice the lack of "I" or "my" in place of "they" and "their"? The use of "I" or 'my" would completely change the sentence meaning so the fact that these words are not present is significant. Granted, you never even read the sentences so in the grand scheme of things, this doesn't matter.

today after my response to your apology. It is actually a clearhouse for all conspiracy theories, just one of which is the theory that the Israelis did it. Some find that conspiracy theory hateful. I would quite agree. I would say it is the most hateful. Remember that I said that the 117 questions Rick posted were the tamer ones. The anti-Israeli ones didn't make the list but the website sure hasn't stripped them out. Some may find any or all of the conspiracy theories hateful. Imagine how an employee of the Carlyle Group might feel about the Bush-Bin Laden-Carlyle Group theory. How about the people who cleaned up the crash sites that are accused of hiding evidence? How about the FAA controllers who were on duty that day. You can go through every 9-11-01 conspiracy theory and figure out that there are people out there that may find it quite offensive. My personal opinion on conspiracy theories is that all give government, corporations, and individuals far more credit that they deserve in terms of their ability to plan, maintain secrecy, and actually pull off a complicated plot. I've been around government way too long to believe they are capable of actually pulling off what they are accused of doing. At some point all conspiracy theories are offensive to someone and some of these I suspect will be around for many decades.

when it happenned no one did anything to try to stop the second and third and fourth planes. they were frozen at the helm and let the iceberg hit them.

Even being in federal law enforcement and having some great training behind me (to deal with emergency situations) I admit it was quite a shock when I too heard of the events that day. I'm sure I had a similar look too (as the majority of Americans I imagine). Be proud Rick that you're above it/us. Or were you too startled by the news? Maybe just attacking someone else (yet again) for how THEY did/didn't do something?
