That "crappy band" thread was pretty cool. Lets up the ante a bit and ask the question: Which bands do you really LIKE to listen to??

Mine:

Metallica, AC/DC, Ozzy, Tool, Scorpions, Van Halen (DLR days), Aerosmith, Iron Maiden, Skid Row, of course Zeppelin, Rush, and many others like that.

Gawd, its all metal all the time it seems like, with a few exceptions. Good for getting all the stress out on the trip home from work.

Heavy Rotation
Black Sabbath
Rammstein

Medium rotation
Type O Negative
Pantera
Slayer
Mercyful Fate

I'm not completely insane, I do mix in some Pink Floyd, and even some Miles Davis and Johnny Cash when the mood strikes me. Odd, but I have a hard time on the cell phone with 'Angel of Death' maxed on my speakers. Also, amazingly enough I am not a crazy driver. I usually stick close to the speed limit.

I used to listen to the hard stuff and my dad told me that I would grow out of it and I would tell him no way I was going to rock hard till I died. I'm only 26 now but it seems year after year I've grown more and more mellow.

Oh gosh how could I have forgotten Rammstein on my list! Lately I've been listening to lots of King Diamond too. NOBODY sings like that guy.

I got to say that Charlie's is a pretty good list. However I have a 45 minute drive to work each day and listen to XM. Channels: Sixties, Seventies, Eighties, Top Tracks, Deep Tracks, Watercolors, On The Rocks, Real Jazz and just about any other channel that is playing something I like at the time.

I hate rap and I used to feel that way about country but over the last few years I have been getting more and more into country. Not that 90's fake country crap but real country from the likes of Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Merle Haggard. To me there is no more electrifying album than Johnny Cash live at Folsom Prison. To hear him sing about hard living and being in prison to people who were living it is amazing. I'd love to see those sissy hair flippers with their bleach blonde hair, leather pants, and drumstick twirls try to be tougher than that!
I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die-Johnny Cash

Zeppelin.

I thoroughly enjoy a lot of different types of music (from Beethoven to bagpipes). But the topic did say "go to". Zep's up there with pizza and sex: even the worst I ever had was pretty good.
