Yo Rick:

"i never said i was an athiest. i said i had no interst in the idea af a god. big difference. athiests say there is no god. i say i dob't care one way or the other. if push comes to show i will say the idea of a god, in my mind, is a silly arrogance."

For an individual with no interest or care about God you do seem to bring up the subject of God quite often, are you trying to convince us or yourself that you have no interest in God.

OBTW if it wasn't for God man would not have the intelligence to invent botox, so some politicians (with no platform) could become more salable to the public.

how much interest would i raise if i talked about ross and bradley, my two sons, or my interest in dinosaurs that evolved into birds, or my insterest in the crop circles being made by creatures from another planet or solar system to let us know they are here, or my interest in movies from the 40's, or pete hamill, or jim thompson (bet you never heard of him), or the stuart kaminski detectives, rostnikov, lieberman, and fonesca, or the fact that a few books, the fountainhead, moses and monotheism, among a few others and two teachers, doc trufillo and dr. hull, who were great influences in my life, or that my father and all his brothers made a living when they were in their very early teens copying tap dance steps from some dancers and selling them to other dancers, and that he had several dance studios in brookly and used to rent the brooklyn acadamy of music theater once a year to give all his students a chance to perform on stage, the cost for lessons were $2.00 and a safety pin, not a straight pin, or my few funn years working for nbc as a page for the kate smith hour, the rootie kazootie show, the nbc symphony of the air, and sid ceasers, show of shows, or my trips from the projects to the museum of natural history when i was 10 and it was safe for a ten year old to go on a subway, ducking under the turnstiles to save a nickle, and travel to manhatten and back, without worrying about being hurt or abducted, or my first business adventure, selling homing pigeons to other kids for a buck a pair and telling them the birds would home on their new coup overnight, which they didn't, so i could go back to the "coal bins" and recapture them and sell them to someone else, or my week in japan where is was a pimp, or my being suspected of being a communist spy when i was stationed on guam, or my 60 days vacation prior to my seperation from the air force and returning for a 90 early release because of the RIF, and still having 60 days paid vacation on my records when i sperated and recieved my final pay, or my winning my bet for the jets, when namith showed unitas what quarterbacking was all about, giving me enough for a down payment on my first new house, or toby convincing me to quit my job at age 40 with a few hundred dollars in my pocket and opening an insurance agency, or my love, respect, and appreciation for her making my life, not just bearable, but a constant joy.

pick a topic, JonR.

Rick,
You are correct. I did not "need" to sling sophomoric insults in order to make my point.
But as a previous poster stated, the botox reference simply strengthens my point regarding style over substance.
Perhaps I should have showed more restraint, but I was merely following your lead.
Afterall, you are the one constantly calling our current President "dumb" and other less than desireable insults.
So shame on me for stooping so low, but it was merely to a level that you're accustomed to.
And no, that wasn't a height joke. That would be improper amongst friends.

Yo Rick:

"pick a topic, JonR."

Finally a list of subjects worthy of a man of your intelligence.

Hmmmmmmmm where should I start:

Jim Thompson From Texas?

Kate Smith, always watched her show.

NY Jets, made a killing on that game. On 4 bets gave up the points (16 points) and took 5-1 odds.

I'll be 61 the 12th of this month. So you see we have more in common than you might think.

I'll get back to you on some of the other subjects later. I have to go out and round up some food for the dinner table. JonR thinks to himself ( hmmmmm I'm pretty sure I saw a stray cat two blocks from here..ah yes the other white meat). Later.
