Have you given any thought to making an Igloodor? I have two now, in addition to wooden humidors of various sizes. They'll cost you well under $100, including cedar lining, humidifiers made of florists foam and tupperware containers and Radio Shack hygrometer. They work really well and, although, they're not "fine furniture," they do serve the purpose and free up money for more important things, like more cigars. I've got about 700 in storage now, with another 150 coming in during the next week or so. Because it's beginning to get hot here and the house can reach 80 degrees or more during the day, it's time for me to design a refrigador, converting an upright freezer into a humidor with temperature regulation.
