Ok so the beloved 7 year old Toro commercial lawnmower is about to bite the dust, I loved this badboy and would love to buy another Toro the only thing is the price. I am kinda torn between spending the extra for the Toro or buy a brand I know nothing about for less money, but I am starting to look into the commercial Hondas and dont know anyone thats had one other than the regular line that you can buy at lowes and home depot. My question is if you have a commercial Honda do you like it and have you had any problems with it? I looked into the Honda website and it is almost worthless I cant tell if they are 2 cycle or 4 cycle is Honda the maker of the motor or do they have a contract with another maker? Also, how is the the starting on these, pull or keyed start??

Thanks for the help.

4 stroke: it is their motor :some have casters on the front wheels. Toro is the only electric start out there in non riders and it is one hell of a good mower usually about a hundred bucks less than the honda. plus everyone works on and has parts for Toro but not so for Honda.

DaGlyde, many of my distributors carry Honda products as well. I hear nothing but great things about them.

I manage an equipment rental store and can tell you the only engines we use is honda, and yes they do come with elec start. But with a Honda product you can only get parts from a honda dealer.but that should not be a problem.I can get any part you would need.
