Looking for comments. Bought a box, and distributed to my cigar club. I never got such harrowing responses on a cigar since my Don Thomas episode. Feeling humiliated, I tried one for myself a few nights ago. This POS lasted 5 minutes before being crushed into the ashtray. Suffering from some mild trauma, my anxiety was quickly appeased as I started to puff on Canaria D’oro Rothchild Maduro. Thank god my taste buds came back.

I purchased a five pack of these seaweed smokes back in January and charged them to my company's credit card. I had to toss each one before reaching the half way point. The only good thing I can say about this transaction is that I was able to write them off as a business expense. Thankyouverymuch.

Phew, for some time I've been thinking I was the only guy who wasn't to impressed with this smoke. I've smoked two of these, traded another two, has one left for a last try. Boy, if this turns out bad too, I'll have to hunt down every one who've been recomended this **** stick and feed their remains to stray dogs. Thanks for taking up this topic, Wany.

I just got the most recent CI catalog ... no wonder it's the cheapest (least expensive) La Luna listed!

I like them, and so do a lot of £unatics. Subjective taste preferences are obvious. So... they don't do it for you guys. That's more of 'em for us who do like them. I've never had one that wasn't perfectly rolled and didn't burn and draw well. Though not my favorite cigar in my humidor, they are a nice rich medium bodied change of pace in my book.

I'm with you Smoke1. It's funny, just tonight, my dad was telling me how much he liked the Reserva '96 Robusto.

As I stated in my reply further up, I've got one left. Today I'm off work to enjoy two weeks of kick back vacation (in my backyard, LOL!), and I'll see if the Res '96 can live up to the benefit of the doubt. The last one will go up in flames, or so will you!!! LOL!

If anyone wants to trade away any '96 Reservas, you might want to visit the La Luna bulletin board. You should be able to find some willing traders PDQ.

Obviously, the '96 Reserva will not please everyone, otherwise there wouldn't be thousands of different cigar brands on the market.

The La Luna '96 Reserva "R" is my favorite cigar of all time, at least in the under $4 category. Personally, I find these to be a very consistently satisfying smoke that I consider my "go to" cigar. I can't recall having had any burn problems in the 100+ Reserva "R"s that I've smoked, but there's bound to be some bad ones in any production run of any cigar.

Porky, so you're the Grand Wazoo???? Gotta agree that the Reservas are a good cigar. Certainly worth the price that they sell for NOW. Consistent, smooth, etc. I haven't had 100+ like you, but I have enjoyed the ones I've had. I like cigars that don't need additional aging prior to smoking. I think the African Fuertes need some humidor time which is a shame.

Yeah, I'm the Grand Wazoo. I must have been hungry when I registered here or I would have registered as the Grand Wazoo here also. LOL

I smoked a '96 Reserva "R" last night: no burn problems, tasted grrrrrreat. JMHO
