only an educated guess, but i think i know why we think a lot of overbiders (in our minds) have suddenly appeared. i've checked what i used to pay for cigars by the box from various sources and it seems c-bid was always a lot cheaper. i am excpecting to buy my cigars so cheap, that when the bids get close to reality, i'm disappointed. the real over bidders, just don't know what cigars should cost or can't get them in their area. this practice by these unscrupulous bidders has to be stopped, they are interfering with our finances.

We need overbidders that is what keeps this site going.
We who have been here for awhile know whats what and we bid when we need something OR there is a real deal.

My suggestion would be, and this is to all that are here, the trade board should be utilized more often. I can't imaging me being the only one with sticks I don't want. I have made a couple with Trigger14 who always seem ready to trade. With the core group that is consistant on these boards, when the bidding is too high, a deal could be made with a compadre. Now if I could convince someone these La Luna LHB colada's are worth something......

I say let the overbidders keep on bidding against themselves, as the smart buyers only go for what is a known deal! Or they will try something new to them, ugh PASHA's and get them so cheap who cares! Charlie

Rick,
As a newbie, the prices that I am paying here are about half of what I see in the local smoke shop. I have noticed that there are a few over bidders on the Ashton, CAO, AVO basicly any of the top rated cigars. I have also noticed that not many people are using the comment along with the bid. Has anyone tried to add a comment like TARGET $4.00 to try to keep the bidding low?

Mr. Mean:

A good place to trade away any unwanted La Lunas might be the La Luna bb. LOL

I might be interested in the coladas. Email me at [email protected] if you want.

... I guess you haven't read the rules. Not only are we not allowed post competitors sites, it is in extremely bad taste to, as Wany put it, 'sh*t on your dinner plate' ... this is CB's place of business. Besides, even if you posted prices, it wouldn't do any good. This subject has been run into the ground ...

Just an example from someone who lives is a state with one of the highest tobacco taxes, I bid and won cigars here at CB for $2.00 a stick, that would have cost me $16.00 each down the street. It's all relevant ...
