Letter of Apology
(Author Unknown)

For good and ill, the Iraqi prisoner abuse mess will remain an issue.

On the one hand, right thinking Americans will abhor the stupidity of
the actions while on the other hand, political glee will take control
and fashion this minor event into some modern day My Lai massacre.

I heard some Arabs are asking for an apology. I humbly offer mine here:

I am sorry that the last seven times we Americans took up arms and
sacrificed the blood of our youth, it was in the defense of Muslims
(Bosnia, Kosovo, Gulf War 1, Kuwait, etc.)

I am sorry that no such call for an apology upon the extremists came
after 9/11.

I am sorry that all of the murderers on 9/11 were Arabs.

I am sorry that Arabs have to live in squalor under savage
dictatorships.

I am sorry that their leaders squander their wealth.

I am sorry that their governments breed hate for the US in their
religious schools.

I am sorry that Yasir Arafat was kicked out of every Arab country and
highjacked the Palestinian "cause."

I am sorry that no other Arab country will take in or offer more than a
token amount of financial help to those same Palestinians.

I am sorry that the USA has to step in and be the biggest financial
supporter of poverty stricken Arabs while the insanely wealthy Arabs
blame the USA.

I am sorry that our own left wing elite and our media can't understand
any of this.

I am sorry the United Nations scammed the poor people of Iraq out of
the "food for oil" money so they could get rich while the common folk
suffered.

I am sorry that some Arab governments pay the families of homicide
bombers upon their death.

I am sorry that those same bombers are seeking 72 virgins. I can't seem
to find one here on Earth.

I am sorry that the homicide bombers think babies are a legitimate
target.

I am sorry that our troops died to free more Arabs.

I am sorry they stopped the gang rape rooms and the filling of mass
graves of dissidents

I am sorry they show so much restraint when their brothers in arms are
killed.

I am sorry that Muslim extremists have killed more Arabs than any other
group.

I am sorry that foreign trained terrorists are trying to seize control
of Iraq and return it to a terrorist state.

I am sorry we don't drop a few dozen Daisy cutters on Fallujah.

I am sorry every time terrorists hide when they find a convenient "Holy
Site."

I am sorry they didn't apologize for driving a jet into the World Trade
Center that collapsed and severely damaged Saint Nicholas Greek
Orthodox Church - one of our Holy Sites.

I am sorry they didn't apologize for flight 93 and 175, the USS Cole,
the embassy bombings, etc.

I am sorry Michael Moore is American; he could feed a medium sized
village in Africa.

I am sorry the French are French?

America will get past this latest absurdity.

We will punish those responsible because that is what we do.

We hang out our dirty laundry for all the world to see.

We move on. That's one of the reasons we are hated so much.

We don't hide this stuff like all those Arab countries that are now
demanding an apology.

Deep down inside, when most Americans saw this reported in the news, we
were like - so what?

We lost hundreds and made fun of a few prisoners.

Sure, it was wrong, sure, it dramatically hurts our cause, but until
captured we were trying to kill these same prisoners.

Now we're supposed to wring our hands because a few were humiliated?

Our compassion is tempered with the vivid memories of our own people
killed, mutilated and burnt amongst a joyous crowd of celebrating
Fallujans.

If you want an apology from this American, you're going to have a long
wait.

You have a better chance of finding those 72 virgins.

If you are "sorry" also, pass it on!

I wish to accept the aforementioned apology--tardy as it is--on behalf of all muslims.

^It's a religious thing--not racist.

Have no problem with Christian arabs. We're in a religious/cultural war, remember?

No need to be pc.

Bloody LOL! It's not pc to say but the truth is that we are not at war against terrorists. We are at war against extrimists who are using terrorism as a tactic to threaten our way of life.

Yo tailgator:

Men in Arab countries wear a large triangularly folded cloth on their
heads, called either a ghutrah or a humag, held in place by a cord.
The cord is called either an iqal or an ogal .

Arabs don't wear turbins, I believe they wear turbins in countries like India and Pakistan.

Canyon, I remeber while I was in the gulf 90-91 the people we were there trying to help threw rocks and bottles at us and cursed our presence. As for someone who thinks the racist envelope has been pushed by posting an anonymous reply welcome to the land of the free, home of the brave, and nation of the offended. Wahhhhh

^ Don't worry about Intel. He's just another "Precinct Kaptain" who safeguards our free speech by tossing the "racist" word around. Thank God that he's around to keep us in line...Be quiet or he'll report you for a hate crime.

Canyon said: "Bloody LOL! It's not pc to say but the truth is that we are not at war against terrorists. We are at war against extrimists who are using terrorism as a tactic to threaten our way of life."

Answer: Is that right, Canyon? I suppose that photos of large groups of Pakistanis laughing/mugging for the cameras around their sand sculture of the Twin Tower tragedy was a fluke? Or how about the impromptu, joyously-ecstatic celebrations that were recorded on film throughout whole villages in the middle east AND in parts of the USA (Michigan, New Jersey, etc.) among our Palestininan/muslim brethren. Oh, and have their great spiritual leaders been condemning the ongoing atrocities. Rarely, maybe once in a blue moon when the cameras are rolling...

Some are good people, but many if not most are being taught at home and in state-financed madras to HATE & DESTROY Jews, Christians, and anyone else who doesn't succumb to their "light". Look at what's happening in India beteween the Hindus & muslims...

Yes, Canyon, we are at war against "terrorism"--a terrorism sanctioned and supported by the tenets of a "great" religion (per George Bush). A "great" religion whose cultic followers hate each other almost as much as they hate us. In time you will see what I mean...

Suffering from pc fatigue!!! Have you ever read Executive Orders by Tom Clancy? I realize that the book is fiction & was written well before the present situation, but it sheds a lot of light on the attitudes & political oppression of that area.

Neal, don't have the time to read anything except the newspapers and magazines these days.

I know that Clancy does a lot of research for his books. I believe that the Russians (KGB) ate his stuff up, thinking he was a CIA operative.

I want to kill all those sorry bastards who are teaching their children to kill me... Am I racist too?

If so... I think i'll just have to live with it. I got an apology for them right here: F*CK YOU!

My humble apologies Trish... but i'm already in the heat and it's getting hotter. Little leeway please.

Yo MACS(SW):

I feel the same way you do and I don't even have to leave Philadelphia as we have a muslim community right here. Yo know the ones that worship the koran (qur'an) and say they don't believe in killing all Jews and Infidels who don't agree with the koran, yeah right. That's like a catholic saying I'm a good catholic BUT I'll pick and choose what commandments I will abide by.

Canyon, we are at war against "terrorism"

So if the Muslin fundamentalists we to form conventional military divisions, put on uniforms and attack our troops head on we would not longer be at war with them since they are no longer terrorists but now conventional military? We are wat war against those muslin's that wish to distroy us. Terrorism is the tactic they are using for this goal.

^ Brother Canyon, we are splitting hairs, don't you think?

When you say:"We are at war against extrimists who are using terrorism as a tactic to threaten our way of life."

You are correct in the sense that most muslims are extremists in that they CONDONE the "terrorist" practices of their harsh/demonic religion. Read JonR's post.

Cheers/Salud!

This is the crap I am talking about. I am hardly a left wing, feel good, hug a tree, give up our country, verbage Nazi. I am on the other hand a person who believes in not slamming people based on their ethnic background, religion, sex, or race.

I equate the muslims with the intolerant, brutal Nazis, Stalinists, Maoists, and WWII Imperial Japanese.

Oh, sure, they probably had a few, good, decent people as well, who were just "swallowed up" into the movements...

Is that ok to say? Gee, thanks.
