After reading some of the earlier comments on this cigar, I was regreting my purchase of the Lone Wolf blowout CBid had. Well, I broke down and finally smoked one yesterday on the golf course. Honestly, it wasn't that bad...not great, but certainly not bad. No great flavor...fairly mild to medium at best, but burns well. It will definitely serve the purpose I had intended for it....cheap golf cigar.

To serve it's purpose as a cheap golf cigar.... I believe the purpose it is to serve is a reminder that their are cheap cigars that are so much better than the Lone Wolf. Even here you can get 5 Vegas, Mayorga, Flor de Flores, Vargas Senadores. Hell, even the Canonero is better than Lone Wolf. And most are cheaper than a Lone Wolf dung stick. The point is, just because it doesn't make you blow chunks doesn't mean you should smoke it. You can take em golfin with you, just give them to your buddies or not so buddies instead.

The best thing I can say for the Lone Wolf line of cigars, is that they had pretty nice looking bands on them! That is about it! Charlie

Cigars and golf, what a natural combination. I used to take my so-so smokes to the golf course, and still carry some for those buddies who smoke but don't buy. One day it occurred to me that smoking a "fair" cigar on the course is a lot like hitting a shag ball over a hazard - it just another negative thought. May I suggest that you try a really good cigar with your next round, when you have already set aside a big block of time to relax and enjoy yourself? Contemplating a really good cigar, for me, adds to the experience. No, better yet, take two good ones, one for each 9. Not guaranteed to lower your handicap, however.

Agree on the great cigar for the golf course. In fact take several, but I don't know that it will lower the handicap! God, I wish it would, let's see Montecristo, Romeo & Julieta, nah, maybe Padron...........yum! Charlie
