The only time I have seen arrogance on these boards are people attacking Slim. I've never seen Slim come down hard on anyone but I have seen a lot of people coe down hard on him....including the last little bit of semi-stalking that stogiepa has been doing. Frankly I think it is ridiculous. I like Marla as much as the rest of you but she got censored just as anyone else does when those in charge catch it. The only difference being that she decided to get angry about it and leave. Slim didn't chase her off...I think she has thicker skin than that. She might be angry and some of that anger might be directed towards him, but IMHO there are a lot worse than him. Some of the stuff (from both sides of the aisle) that goes on in the political board is downright disgusting. The things that JonR and Rick say are ten times as offensive as anything Slim has ever said or done on this board. Fact is...Slims reputation is much worse than his actual deeds. Nine times out of ten someone else corrects the problem or delivers a slap "in Slims name" he isn't around all that often (or at the very least doesn't post that often) to do it....and I don't blame him. He provides a great service and does it fairly and justly. It might be a little rude at times, but I guarantee he gets a lot worse than he gives.

Everyone here is on this board for the same reason...to discuss cigars and the finer things in life. Slim has a lot to offer in that regard and often does a lot of google searching that the rest of us are too lazy to do. I appreciate his input and maybe, if you weren't so sensitive you would too.

I haven't responded much (if at all) to Marla's
threads and posts for the last year or two ...
But, when she posted on a thread that 'stogiepa' directed at me, where she posted, "Oh, and Slim has f****d up before ...", I simply asked admin to delete the profanity, which they did.

If that is the reason she figured that she was being singled out, because others post profanities and don't get caught so she should be able to do so as well ... I guess she shouldn't have done it in a thread I was sure to see ... LOL!

I can not believe that 'THAT' was the only reason behind her leaving this time ... I have a feeling that there were other things going on in her life as well.

Sure, Marla and I have had our confrontaions in the past (and you have always felt the need to defend her), but all that was settled a very long time ago.

She has left here these boards at least twice before, and of course, she always gave me credit as the 'root' cause ... but she always came back.

Slim--she felt singled out because she WAS singled out but that was because YOU called C-Bid--you finally admitted it. Why don't you call C-Bid for every other response that is inappropriate? You called because it was her. Because you feel you are the self appointed C-Bid God. You wonder why people come down on you but it is because you aren't consistent. Your buddies are just fine. You would never call C-Bid if they did something wrong--but anyone else and watch out. You came down on David (John Hay Cigars) & I because of his user name being what YOU deemed was inappropriate and against C-Bid rules. Well, guess what, C-Bid said it was fine with them. Please understand that the modifying or removal of posts is done anytime something deemed inappropriate is brought to our attention. We always appreciate when our members make us aware of something that may have gone un-noticed. It is not a matter of one person singling out others; we have many users that point out posting issues. I agree it’s is critical that our forum posters use good judgment when using this forum, but it appears on certain occasions good judgment is subjective and not always adhered to.

Another thing. If you want to get your feathers ruffled over me. And say that I have issues that you wont bring up now....well, go ahead and tell us what those issues are.

I'm not hiding anything, but you are. Your best bet is to wise up and quit whining like you tend to do when it's obvious you are wrong. I received an e-mail from E stating it was you. Also I have that e-mail you sent that tells me YOU have issues...

What makes you think that I don't? If it breaks the our hosts 'Forum Rules & Conditions', and I see it ... I usually do. I don't play favorites.

I don't have the final say in any of their decisions (and never have) ... I just happen to be the one (and I'm by far, not the only one) who alerts them of infractions. I'm just the one who doesn't have a problem being public about it.

I've been doing this since these forums started, some 5 or so years ago, and they have let me know that they appreciate the the help. If providing them with help in keeping the integrity of these forums is a crime ... then I'm guilty.

If they want me to quit, all they have to do is tell me to end it. I won't have a problem with it. So far, they have shown me nothing but appreciation.
