Anti-Kerry Vietnam Veterans Hold Strong


The following statement from Swift Boat Veterans for Truth is in response to an article appearing in the morning edition of the Boston Globe (“Veteran Retracts Criticism of Kerry”) which implies that one Vietnam Veteran wishes to retract an affidavit he signed regarding John Kerry’s actions during and after Kerry’s time in Vietnam. The signed affidavit can be seen below.
"Captain George Elliott describes an article appearing in today’s edition of the Boston Globe by Mike Kranish as extremely inaccurate and highly misstating his actual views. He reaffirms his statement in the current advertisement paid for by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, Captain Elliott reaffirms his affidavit [see below] in support of that advertisement, and he reaffirms his request that the ad be played.

“Additional documentation will follow. “The article by Mr. Kranish is particularly surprising given page 102 of Mr. Kranish’s own book quoting John Kerry as acknowledging that he killed a single, wounded, fleeing Viet Cong soldier whom he was afraid would turn around.

“Swift Boat Veterans for Truth has more than 250 supporters who are revealing first hand, eyewitness accounts of numerous incidents concerning John Kerry’s military service record. The organization will continue to discuss much of what John Kerry has reported as fact concerning his four-month tour of duty in Vietnam.”

What???? You get so angry and nasty, blame others for being closed minded and now it comes out that you yourself don't look at both sides before attacking?! I'd never have guessed!

Do as I say, not as I do. I get it now.

(again please note, as in the past I have said NOTHING either way on any political matter here)

When have I attacked others because their opinions differ from mine? When have I resorted to calling others names because of their beliefs?

I ask for clarifications when odd things are said (is this being narrow minded?). Sometimes I get them, sometimes I don't. If one doesn't want to explain their views that's up to them. I'm sorry you feel that asking questions is being narrow minded, I'm not sure what to say to that (as I'm not really into name calling, I'm a big boy now!).

Seriously, I make it a point to conduct mylsef in a more adult manner (is this being narrow minded?). It's too bad not everyone does the same, but like I've said in the past each to their own. I don't resort to cheap name calling and attacks. Label me whatever you want though, it's not going to hurt.

I can always explain it with the idea that Fox News corrupted me and made me do it!!! Haha.

Uncleb, I can appreciate your post here. I have posted the last few messages going after him because he DID resort to these childish ways (name calling, anger, wild accusations). That's all I'm saying. You think yelling at me for saying something I haven't said isn't going to be met with a response?! Now you know.

Do your research a little better, I RARELY make political statements. I don't attack others because of their beliefs. If you think I do then you too need to read slower (not an insult from me, it's one of rickamavens sayings).

Again, I don't take anything here seriously, it's for entertainment purposes only. I wouldn't dare try to change anyone's political outlook (and they're not changing mine), I really don't care to. Believe whatever you want though, by all means you're free to do so.
