...there a couple of points (i.e. fellow swift boat capt. denouncing Kerry's version of the events of the day that lead to his bronze star that he later stated HIMSELF......and he got one too....hmmmmmm) in the article that really make you wonder if the Republican agenda did enough homework when preparing their smear campaign....

Sonny, Who was the one person who wrote up the report of incedents that took place that day??

my question is and has been... why doesn't "Kerry" (Camp) go after each of these individuals?? instead they make threats to sue the media for airing it.. now Kerry is slaming Bush for not stopping these guys?? why doesn't he direct his fire at these individuals directly?? as stated in other posts "Fishy"

Lets face it your Boy is a lying POS... and thats the best they can come up with LMFAOROTF!!!!!!

OK, How many of you guys wrote your own performance reports and decorations? I know I've done it. I've had supervisors come right out and tell me "if you want a decoration you'll have to write up the citation yourself because I'm to busy".

I think this should be a non-issue. He got the awards. I don't like revisionist history. He must have convinced his superiors that he deserved the decorations. If his superiors didn't have the integrity or the g'nads to tell the young officer that he didn't deserve the recognition then they were derelict in their duty. But to come back after all this time and question someones medals is BS.

The awards and decorations system is not now nor has it ever been fair. I've worked with airmen that were outstanding performers that deserved commendation medals or meritorious service medals only to have them down graded because "we don't give those awards to airmen". If the same accomplishment had been achieved by an NCO, they would have received the award.

Some guys love to collect awards and go out of their way to inform their superiors of their achievements or actions. Others don't. So if Kerry was a little agressive in petitioning his superiors for awards, it's no big deal. Lot's of guys do it.

Some medals are contingent upon meeting a set critieria such as the Purple Heart. His purple hearts had to be awarded with medical evidence (no matter how trivial the wound, it qualifies if medical evidence warrants).Other awards are discretionary. The circumstances and actions are subject to interpretation. Ultimately the supervisor and the awards committee (if convened), or approving official, make the call.

Sonny, GWB refused to dignify the question with an answer. Because he didn't deny it, the Democrats and the Liberal press took it as an admission. To this day, NO witnesses have come forth to confirm that Bush ever did coke. Now, as to Veterans, the guy who wrote "Unfit for Command" stated that there was no incoming fire, and if that alone was the basis for his medal, he didn't deserve it either! OH, but I forgot, if Democratic liberals cant come up with a factual, logical argument, obfuscate the issue! redirect the attention, and block the brodcast of any facts that might hurt your campaign! silly of me!

I didn't see that writen in the article you posted??

did you supply GW with the coke? did you actually see him snort or use it? tell me where you get your Facts on this one Sonny?

besides you yourself are diverting your own thread here...

we're talking about Kerry's 4 month tour in Nam and his own writen up citations to medals he recieved, he was also the author for the one's given to the man in the article above??

he (Kerry) as Eye Witness's who were there state, shot up a san pan (boat) with a family on it killing a father and a son.. but in his handwriten report on it states these were vietcong boatload??

the problem we have here is a Senator/AHole who is running for the highest office in the Land... after selling out his country and countrymen 30+ yrs ago... is a compulsive lier and I think he even believes himself as to what he's saying? but then he has followers (like yourself) who believe everything coming out of his mouth as the Gospil according to John!!!!

he didn't even give up his Senate seat to run in this election?? he must know something his followers doesn't??

with that all said... Kerry is a Lowlife!!!

The gut who got the Bronze Star was surprised when he was notified after discharge of the medal award.

He didn't recall events that would have led to such an award, at least that day. In fact, Kerry put him in for it. You should look into the story more.
